February 21, 200916 yr Yasmin Le Bon and Erin O'Connor lead models at Qasimi's Victorian Gothic show By Eleanor Glover Who better to model Qasimi's dramatic collection at London Fashion Week than a host of famous faces? Erin O'Connor, Yasmin Le Bon, Lily Cole, Jaquetta Wheeler, Jasmine Guiness and Carmen Dell'Orifice all took to the catwalk in a series of opulent black outfits. For designers Khalid bin Sultan AlQasimi and Elliott J. Frieze who make up the brand, using such well-known models comes as a coup when you consider it's only their third appearance at London Fashion Week. Alabaster-skinned Erin O'Connor, who helped put the Qasimi name on the map when she modeled their Spring/Summer 2009 collection last year, is the perfect face to showcase the Victorian Gothic-style clothes. Dressed in a wide bustled skirt and boned corset the willowy model's couture outfit was topped off with a huge feathered hat, lace gloves and leather cape and lace-up boots. Fellow M&S model, Lily Cole, was also shoe-horned into a ribbon-trimmed corset but showed off her legs in strappy black sandals. Despite being in the business for 25 years, supermodel Yasmin Le Bon looked stunning in a black satin gown and chandelier earrings, while husband Simon cheered on from the audience. Jaquetta Wheeler and Jasmine Guiness also carried the Morticia Addams style with ease. The couture Gothic look championed at Qasimi may be beyond most budgets but dig out your little black dress, add a little lace and you've got the style sorted without even needing a shopping spree. Simple.
