the list is not an average, but each girl receives points for being on someones toplist and based on her position she gets a certain amount

the overall toplist is not made by one person - so if lohan is on the list its because lots of people like her, same with paris hilton - i dont like either, but this is as true of a representation of the popularity of these celebrities as anything you'll find - except its much more accurate as it has a large sample base (2000+) and a random membership
