Call me crazy but I even watched Miss Americana on netflix recently just to understand her dynamic with Joe Alwyn. I think when she met him she wasn't in a really good place (lots of bad press, lots of body shaming, lots of hate against her in general) so his down-to-earth peace and seclusion had a huge appeal to her but when she found back her strength and even more important her beloved place on the spotlight of the top of the world he just didn't fit to her anymore. I know she loves playing the victim and blaming him for everything and maybe I'm wrong but this was the impression I got from the doc and her.

By calling Travis "famewhore". Travis fits, because he loves a huge amount of attention as much as she does. But he's with her at her best, while Joe was with her at her worst, and I think Joe was the most sincere. Her loss, she would never find anyone like him.

On point 💯 I think he didn't care for her money, fame, status whatever one bit but only for her "true" self however that might be look(ed). I'm REALLY curious what he saw in her because they seem so freakin different in pretty much everything lol

Was the purpose of this documentary PR (improving Taylor's image?)

 

I find it interesting that she switched from pop to 'poor people music' (indie folk) and even dressed like a rural person during COVID, which increased her popularity.  Kind of a total re-brand at least until 'Midnights'.

 

Also her relationship with Joe was 6 years long, which is several orders of magnitude longer than the other ones.  She had bad press for dating too many people prior to Miss Americana and by being with 1 person for a while this was good for her image.  Now she is with someone that can helps her career much more than an introvert can.

For all her flaws, she's far from the worst person in the industry. No worse than Kanye and his whore lol. And she's very beautiful.

It has to be (haven't watched Miss americana myself) if she allowed backstage shooting and 'reveals'.  Some of the reviews for 'Miss Americana' describe it as such.

Well I only watched it for the 2 seconds of her hot back then boyfriend. She still annoys me so I don't think this doc doesn't really changes how you see her. Either you already liked her before or you just don't. Or maybe I'm just not the target group (but actually I'm 💯% her preferred demographic) lol

What I learned in that doc is that her mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 (for the first time). She started dating Joe in 2016. I'm not a psychologist but maybe it's somehow connected seeing something of her and herself in him since she's very close to her mother.

Interesting, maybe. 

 

During COVID-19 (Folklore-Evermore Era) people were isolating so little in the way of social life.  If the pandemic never happened this Joe relationship may have ended years ago.

 

Overall being well off and then building a life together is easy, but Taylor's career comes first

In another life when these two were normal people they probably would have gotten married and made children that look like clones of them LOL.

 

I mean Taylor was already very wealthy at the time and all the men of the earth are just mere pan-handlers compared to her, including actors and football players.  Now that she's worth 1.3 Billion dollars (and growing- Eras tour will be done in Dec 2024 and perhaps she will be worth 2 billion afterwards)  she is one of the most elite women on earth.

 

Actually I can't think of a single beautiful 34-35 year old woman that is in the club of 1,000 American billionaires except for her.. must be really hard finding a man that's around her age and as rich and powerful as her lol.

*who would love to be the center of attention all the time. I think this is the main problem. Joe was sincere, but he clearly didn't like the attention and swifties even hated him for it. He was accused of an inflated ego. Of course, I don't know him personally, but he doesn't give that impression.
