Posted May 23, 200717 yr I am a big fan of ASHLEY RICHARDSON. She was very tall, blond and an American. I wonder if I am the only person who remembers her, because there is almost nothing about her in the internet. She modelled through the eighties. She had a lot of magazine covers. She appeared on the pages of American Vogue, Elle, Harper's magazine. She even had a Sports Ilustrated cover. Please share with me if you have any information or pictures of Asley.
May 24, 200717 yr Hello. I am a big fan of ASHLEY RICHARDSON. Yes, me too. Maybe not a big fan, but I do think she was a good model, and very pretty. She was very tall, blond and an American.I would also say, statuesque. I wonder if I am the only person who remembers her ... she modelled through the eighties ... had a lot of magazine covers ... almost nothing about her in the internet There used to be a good site dedicated to fashion photographers and models of the 80s, but I don't know anymore. This site is pretty good on "classic" models. You could also try the Fashion Spot, http://www.thefashionspot.com/forums/ .
May 24, 200717 yr Author I am happy to hear that someone else is a fan of Ashley. Thanks for your suggestion.
July 5, 200717 yr Marco Glaviano, the photographer, said in the book SIRENS that Ashley Richardson was big but could move her body into poses few others could. I read somewhere else that Ashley was an artist, not sure what medium, and was living in Southern California. She was always one of my favorites from the first time I saw her in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. SIRENS is a hard book to find at a good price, Amazon.com has it for 44 bucks or so. I'll try and find my copy and scan some images of Ashley.http://www.amazon.com/Sirens-Marco-Glavian...7582&sr=8-1
July 6, 200717 yr Interesting. The photographs of her that I think of first (the SI cover, and so on), I realize are not traditional poses. Interesting observation about her as a model. She was always one of my favorites from the first time I saw her in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. Roger Rosenblat too, apparently. I liked his commentaries on the NewsHour, and I've been curious about his play, especially given the title. http://www.curtainup.com/ashleymontana.html . Seems like it has a good cast. SIRENS is a hard book to find at a good price, Amazon.com has it for 44 bucks or so. I find Alibris is a good resource for used books, too. They (currently) are showing a softcover for $12. http://www.alibris.com/search/search.cfm?q...listing*buyused . If it's not there when you click, I bought it.
July 7, 200717 yr Author Thank you guys for talking about sucha book. I never heard about it before. I am dying to see the scans (if you can make them.) This ia a very small scan that I found I think on ebay. Very unusual for a swimsuit shot, I think. Not the kind you would expect from other models like Cindy or Claudia.
July 19, 200717 yr Author Ashley with Vendela! Oh my God! Thank you very very much for those incredible clips. One understands better why are they called super when one sees them moving rather than in a picture.
November 5, 200717 yr Author I can't believe that has happened. Months of work has gone in a second...But we must continue from where we were I think. Here is Ashley in an ad for Perrier.
January 12, 200817 yr Ashley is one of my fave models and I have a pretty good collection. However, that being said most of it is packed right now. When I get them unpacked I will post them.
January 12, 200817 yr ^^^ nice i remember before the crash saying how i loved how healthy and natural she was the great old vogue days when models could be a size 8 or in ashley's case, a 10
