He won the oscar for TD so fair enough. Gladiator II seems from the trailer another standout for him. So maybe another oscar. Or at least another nomination. Also 69 never looked better imo 😲

Thank god 🤣 Name me 5 of your faves so I have an idea what you're talking about 😋

@Lilja K Because I have a week off I decided to re watch THE FALL (Gillian Anderson is awesome indeed love her 2 😍) and I think I understand why Jamie was picked to replace Charlie as Christian Grey or at least what they probably had in mind with him. With better scripts of 50 Shades he may had been better. But that's why Charlie also left so those movies never had a chance from the beginning. Interesting. https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/movies/story/2022-06-28/dakota-johnson-fifty-shades-talks-battle-with-e-l-james Still mourning over the different version we could have.

It looks solid but damn the footsteps from the OG Gladiator are huge. I'm not sure this 2nd attempt will have the same impact. This trailer looks more like... bigger, louder, faster with nothing really new to say? Even the emporer is a crazy nucklehead once again (maybe too much incest lol) and instead of one there a two? (more like I said lol). Also what is this modern song choice? I think the OG soundtrack (maybe kinda rewritten) would have been epic. But at least this song choice is something new 😄 I will watch it of course. Maybe my first impression is wrong. I liked that it's kinda build on Maximus story. The flashbacks made me shiver. Not sure if that is a good or a bad sign for all the new stuff. Denzel seems indeed the standout.

I think the show is playing superb with female fears. Coming home alone and someone was in your apartment. Dessous missing. Classic. Then the whole idea of a handsome killer who's also a empathetic father and husband. It's like you can't trust anyone. Especially as a single woman.

You mean acting talent wise? He was actually pretty decent in and (australian shows ARE SO GOOD) If you haven't seen them I can highly recommend. He's better in "crazy stuff" than playin the lover imo.

Also prefer him with a beard 😍 Thx for the adds @Roxane

I mean you can say about him as an actor what you want but his body is greek god perfection @Lilja K

At least those 2 are VERY cozy Can't help but this Powell dude is so unappealing and fake to me I can't even describe it.

Didn't know him and Brad didn't get along. But on the other hand... to big alpha men LOL @Lilja K Tom avoids the Pitt stop? (...) there’s a lot of speculation that Brad and Tom aren’t exactly cozy. They’ve worked together exactly once, on Interview With The Vampire, and did not get along. Brad has talked often about how miserable he was on that set, to the point where he tried to get out of it during production and was told that it would cost him millions of dollars. In an interview afterwards with Premiere magazine (God I miss Premiere – the best interviews happened in Premiere; it was Premiere and Movieline back in the day), Brad said that: “[Tom bugged me.] There came a point during filming when I started really resenting him. He’s North Pole, I’m South. He’s always coming at you with a handshake, whereas I may bump into you. There was this underlying competition that got in the way of any real conversation." Though he did acknowledge that Tom did a great job on the film, rumours about their relationship, or lack thereof, have persisted. And when it was first announced that Brad was working on this F1 movie, there was some gossip about how Tom was side-eyeing Brad for coming into his lane. And now it’s been a minute since Tom has appeared at the track while Brad’s all over the circuit. Maybe it’s just scheduling. Maybe Tom really didn’t have time to get the chopper going and fly the short distance to Silverstone yesterday. But … you know… Boy Sh-t is the Best Sh-t. And if this really is boy sh-t, it’s been three decades of it. So, once again, as we’ve always known, boys can keep grudges too. They might even be better at it.

@Lilja K I wasn't allowed to watch ... back then in cinema because I was too young and after TITANIC cinema owners very much checked IDs/ages of Leos young fans. Instead a devastated me had to watch AMERICAN PIE. I remember it like it was yesterday 😄 -

Look who's also a fan @Lilja K Martin Scorsese, Again, Praises Ti West and the ‘X’ Trilogy Back in 2022, West’s stock was bumped considerably higher due to Scorsese’s praise of “Pearl.” The legendary filmmaker called it “wild,” “mesmerizing” and “deeply disturbing.” Penning a letter to A24, Scorsese wrote: I was enthralled, then disturbed, then so unsettled that I had trouble getting to sleep. But I couldn't stop watching. Scorsese, a clear fan of West’s filmography, is now doubling down on his admiration for West, telling the New York Times that the “X” trilogy represented a “different type of horror, related to different eras in American moviemaking.” The first, “X,” is “the ’70s, the slasher era”; “Pearl” is “’50s melodrama in vivid saturated color; “MaXXXine” is “’80s Hollywood, rancid, desperate.” They are, Scorsese wrote, “three linked stories set within three different moments in movie culture, reflecting back on the greater culture.” By smuggling thoroughly modern ideas into films that were also steeped in the aesthetics of the past, Scorsese thought, West had done “something bold and thoroughly cinematic”.
