That's easy to answer. "Before the Flood" broke records on National Geographic. More here: https://www.indiewire.com/2016/11/before-the-flood-climate-change-documentary-record-60-million-views-1201747088/ I think "The 11th hour" wasn't that much successful. Here are some numbers: https://www.boxofficemojo.com/title/tt0492931/?ref_=bo_se_r_2 I agree he's not doing those projects because of the money. But wasn't that exactly your point? Doing this kind of stuff for the passion/message/art?

I think every movie before Titanic had a "not so high" budget considering the 'blockbuster stuff' or whatever you like it to call he's now filming. I mean Leo is worth what? 20 million $? Sometimes he's excepting the half of it (for J. Edgar or OUATIH for example) to make those movies happen but still... 10 million $!? Why on earth should he do a low budget movie when people are willing to pay him so much more? lol It would be interesting what budgets his docs "11th Hours" and "Before The Flood" had but I didn't find any numbers. Can't be that much more I would guess. If I remember correctly he filmed parts of 11th Hour in his moms garage. Speaking of low budget movies. I was watching "Kiss of The Damned" from female director Xan Cassavetes last night (it had a budget under 5 million $ was all I found). The only artsy thing here was Milo Ventimiglia naked ass (but he was naked and horny half time of the movie so fair enough LOL). Off topic but he's invited to bite me any time he wants. Leo too. The budget of Romeo & Juliet wasn't that high at least not compared to later Leo movies. So the question could be what is a low budget (for you)? 🤭 J. Edgar wasn't that high neither for example to mention a movie after Titanic. When I say not high I'm talking in Hollywood language. Those numbers are still nuts in the real world of course lmao Same for TMITIM. Revolutionary Road. Celebrity.

^I've read the first chapter so far (while hearing the movies soundtrack lol). 📚🎧 The book starts slightly different as the movie did. But so far it's fun to read. A little bit more detailed. I giggled out loud a few times already If you liked the movie you will probably like the book too. English isn't my first language but so far I have no problems to read/understand the writing. At one point Rick is whining about being objectified in some tiny swim trunks for a movie "wtf am I Betty Grable?" and I was thinking now that's something I would've love to see lmao Had to google her.

Was this interview with KOTFM screenwriter Eric Roth already posted? I don't know honestly. Martin Scorsese is currently directing Roth’s script for “Killers of the Flower Moon,” which is headlined by Jesse Plemons, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro. Roth teases, “It will be one of the first movies that almost exclusively has Native Americans in it. If you see a street scene, there will be 90 percent Native Americans and 10 percent Caucasians and others and this probably will be the most — and I know Marty will be able to pull it off — probably the most important movie made that I’m aware of about Native Americans, so it’s really a gamechanger.” See the interview here

You can vote for Leo here: https://www.goldderby.com/feature/oscar-best-actor-winner-since-2000-814025936-1204334028/ Which Oscar Best Actor winner gave the best performance so far this century? Right now Leo is #1. Users blame the "fanboys" for it

I rewatched "Shutter Island" yesterday and his look in KOTFM is remembering me of his Teddy Daniels look especially his hair. Just found this and thought it's quite fitting and kinda hilarious The audacity Ben Kingsley has to call Leo baby and then get away with it Source He's so beautiful in the last one What a heartbreaking scene/performance 😪 One of my favorite Leo movies/performances- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)
Speaking of this... but this one is a far stretch lol- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)

Stephen Dorff about not getting the role of Jack Dawson in 'Titanic' after he was very close to it according to himself... How he probably looked back in the 90s Since Leo was freaking perfection as Jack Dawson there are probably none regrets from literally nobody about this chasting choice. Sooo... let's celebrate the beauty James Cameron gave us with casting just the perfect actor Source Probably the scene I felt in love with Leo 😍 Source In short: Have a nice life Stephen Dorff with a little bit less of everything than Leo lol- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)

^What about The Revenant? Don't think he had a movie with more promo than this one #oscar buzz The ones with him an Tom Hardy were partly even fun to watch Source Talking about body language Leo is even leaning FORWARD in this interview. That's big for him being that much into it lol While Tom is very much into in whatever he's eating Source Maybe @oxford25 is right and he needed just the "right" partner who's going with him through that sh!t. Same for Tom. He isn't the easiest person to interview I've heard multiple times Great dynamic of those two. Sharing literally everything. Love them- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)
Is netflix doing this kind of promo stuff? I honestly couldn't say LOL Just got my OUATIH book out of my mailbox 😍- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)
When Leo was younger his interviews were so much fun to watch. He was so cute and goofy and passionate I loved it. When I was a teen I could watch him hours talking no kidding 😍 It went my parents crazy LOL Nowadays he's most of the time -well I don't want to say boring- but... unmotivated? Honestly I don't watch most of his interviews anymore because it's just painful for my eyes to see him tired, kinda empty and literally everywhere but not in the moment of those interviews. Maybe it's just me...- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)

I think that's the reason. If I remember correctly we didn't get any set pics from "out located" movies like Django Unchained and The Revenant neither. Didn't thought about Grace Kelly but you're right- Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)
