Leonardo DiCaprio (GENERAL DISCUSSION)
@YouNoMeNot sure if I get your point but maybe he's just generous. I mean it's not like being in Leos position is something regular. I read lots of times how people complaining about Leo paying for everyones lifestyle: his families, friends, girlfriends whoever. But frankly, being as rich as Leo on a constantly successful level, is nothing easy to compete with, not to say probably impossible. So it's just natural he's always or at least mostly in a higher position as the people around him. And why not making people he loves or people in general or less blessed people happy? It's actually one of my favorite parts about him. That he cares so much for others. That he's giving something back without ulterior motives.

^Why is page six always using the term p---y posse to describe Leo and his friends lately? Is that their code for a group of singles? 😅 Gosh I see hints everywhere 🙈

Is it just me or is Tobey kinda bad karma for Leo? It's always like weird stories coming up when Tobey is around: the whole Pussy Posse thing, Don's Plum, the Poker game mess, lots of bad press while shooting Gatsby in Australia, poor Gatsby reviews, now those break up rumors with Cami and lying sources.... Sry but I can't stand the dude.

Leonardo DiCaprio (GENERAL DISCUSSION)
So the source who denied the break up rumor and said it's Cami lied to radar online? Why? It's all a bit weird isn't it?

@kayyywhat makes you think he's bi? Never thought about the context between the popular obsession with young Leo and Leos longing for young women in counterpart but LOL This look wasn't bad either 😚

^Lucky you. I remember how my parents went into cinema, watched the movie and told me the day after "kiddo this isn't some little romantic love story setting on a beach. there's no way in hell you will gonna watch this bloody mess until your old enough not being traumatized. Now go play in your room". Me. Also me.

"The Beach" is gonna be 22 today btw (released February 11, 2000). Great soundtrack. Source And me? I still believe in paradise. But now at least I know it's not some place you can look for. Because it's not where you go. It's how you feel for a moment in your life when you're a part of something. And if you find that moment... It lasts forever. Source Always thought this quote is on point. Some love for Richard here?

Adam McKay On ‘Don’t Look Up’s Oscar Noms After watching his end-of-the-world satire Don’t Look Up notch four Oscar nominations this morning, in the categories of Best Picture, Original Screenplay, Original Score and Editing, writer-director Adam McKay spoke with Deadline about the film’s recognition and real-world impact, as well as upcoming projects ranging from the HBO series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, to his HBO Max series The Uninhabitable Earth and his Elizabeth Holmes film Bad Blood for Apple. (...) McKay’s sci-fi comedy Don’t Look Up finds a comet hurtling towards Earth. Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio play Drs. Kate Dibiasky and Randall Mindy, two low-level astronomers who go on a media tour to warn mankind that the end of days might be near. The multi-hyphenate found it heartening to see the Film Academy’s recognition of his latest work, and was wowed by the experience of watching it debut globally on Netflix. “I’ve just never experienced anything like that, where it’s almost like a button is pushed and then it just injects into upwards of 500 million people, and [you’re] seeing responses from countries all around the world,” said McKay. “Seeing these responses of people just saying, ‘Yes, I feel this too. Yes, this is what I’ve been seeing,’ that was really an incredible moment.” McKay says that the film has “surpassed” all of his expectations, not only in terms of the critical acclaim it has garnered, and the size of the audience with which it’s connected, but also in terms of the change it’s inspired in the real world. “Honestly, movies are movies, so they can only do so much, but they can also do a lot…I just heard in France, they’re going to do a Just Look Up Day in March through six, seven major cities. I just heard there’s a bill named the Don’t Look Up Bill in New Mexico. I’m seeing it referenced everywhere. I’m seeing climate groups drawn to it and using it as a reference, so it’s definitely surpassed what we’d hoped for,” he said. “We were just trying to give a little kick in the pants, as far as urgency, and clearly it’s a message that relates to people…beyond even the climate crisis. A lot of people relate to it as far as democracies teetering, income inequality, the pandemic. So, it’s amazing and it just reminds us of what movies can do.” Don’t Look Up will compete for Best Picture at this year’s Oscars with Belfast (Focus Features), CODA (Apple), Drive My Car (Sideshow/Janus Films), Dune and King Richard (Warner Bros.), Licorice Pizza (MGM/United Artists Releasing), Nightmare Alley (Searchlight Pictures), The Power of the Dog (Netflix) and West Side Story (20th Century Studios). The ceremony will take place on March 27. Source McKay is receiving his own star on the walk of fame next week. Any chances Leo will show up there? Wow 😍 Source

Speaking of dull again: As long the show isn't that boring how it was the last years (what showed in the viewing numbers too which went lower and lower by year). I think Leo winning the oscar was truly their last big highlight. What a cutie Just. Adorable.

Now that went quick. I mean Leo isn't dumb. He can probably calculate what a current breakup would look like for him. Would he care the backlash? I honestly don't know. Would he stay with a girl just to please the crowd? Hell no LOL Though we probably all aware of Leos tendency to deny things which came out to be true like dating Cami in the first place.

^Anyone noticed Baz Luhrman in those pics? The white haired dude who's hugging Leo wildly. How about a 3rd movie gentlemen? That's probably why Austin Butler was there too (he and Baz just made a movie about Elvis Presley).

He also seemed pretty dull to me in this movie (or maybe it was his blant character). Hopefully he will be better in KOTFM. Also thx for the NA response. Pretty interesting To be fair Hannibal Lecter is iconic and Hopkins performance is one of the best ever in SOTL Just brilliant and intense af. I was never more scared in my life by a movie performance. I wish Leo and him would make a movie before he'll pass.

^Bradley Cooper can't act. Haven't seen NA but I also read both Leo and Bradley are actually too old for the role. Since I haven't read the book neither I don't know how old the main character is supposed to be.

Interesting take because of all the Mindy talk lately LOL Don't Look Up Made Leonardo DiCaprio a Worse Husband Than The Wolf of Wall Street In The Wolf of Wall Street, Leonardo DiCaprio's performance as Jordan Belfort was despicable, but Don't Look Up makes him an even worse husband. In The Wolf of Wall Street, Leonardo DiCaprio's performance as Jordan Belfort truly was one of the darkest in cinema. While it played off Belfort's real life as a sinister stockbroker, DiCaprio added so many wacky layers to Martin Scorsese's directorial vision that no one could bring themself to like the character. However, as much as Leo was a devilish fiend in that film, Don't Look Up made him an even worse husband. Now, as Jordan, Leo was a terrible excuse for a family man, cheating on his first wife before moving on to Naomi (Margot Robbie). He would also continue to engage in affairs with prostitutes, abuse drugs and even hit his wife on one occasion. But as bad as all that was, in Don't Look Up, his Dr. Mindy is even more terrible because he initially started off as a hero, only to become someone who negatively influenced the world. And the sad part is, rather than chasing millions of dollars or drugs, what drew Mindy to the dark side was the idea of being a celebrity. While Jordan wanted power in terms of money, Mindy just wanted the public to see him as a savior. It's why he abandoned his wife, June, and his two sons when the apocalypse was coming. After initially trying to convince the world a comet was hitting to end all life, he fell into the media charade and grabbed onto being a darling that everyone fawned over. And all this attention led him to begin an affair with the newscaster, Brie. He hated how he had played by the rulebook for so many years, being a good husband and dad, because to him, the apocalypse meant he didn't get his just due. Mindy also saw being a good person as something that deserved recognition, which is why he lost his soul and broke bad. Jordan may have hurt his inner circle with his bad influence, but Mindy took things a step further by pushing the world to hate and give up compassion for the final days. And what made things sting even more was that June helped take care of Mindy when he was sick, and he still kept the charade up with Brie. It was pretty unforgiving because, while Naomi still tried to create a new sense of family and set Jordan straight in The Wolf of Wall Street, Brie was using Mindy for nothing but fun in Don't Look Up. Eventually, Mindy moseyed on back to his wife when his conscience kicked back in, but when he arrived, June admitted she cheated on him in college and kept it secret. So, in the same way Jordan got what was coming to him when he went to jail, Mindy got his punishment, living out the rest of his life knowing his family couldn't stand him. Source

Even though Leo wasn't nominated for DLU as Best Actor he managed to set another record this year what means he will probably break this record next year with KOTFM But since Robert De Niro is also in KOTFM Leo will still one best picture behind him lol Oscars: Stars Who Made History With 2022 Nominations Leonardo DiCaprio Ties Jack Nicholson for Male Actor in Best Picture Nominees Record Leonardo DiCaprio is now just one best picture honor away from tying a male actor record set by Robert De Niro. With Don’t Look Up‘s best picture nomination at the 2022 ceremony, its leading man has gone from being in nine films that received the Oscar’s highest honor for a single title to being just two projects shy of tying current 11-film, record-holder De Niro. Prior to this year, DiCaprio’s nine-nomination record — which included The Aviator, The Revenant, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, The Wolf of Wall Street, Django Unchained, Titanic, Gangs of New York, The Departed and Inception — was shared with Gary Cooper, Spencer Tracy, Tom Hanks and William Holden. With the Adam McKay black comedy, the Don’t Look Up star now has 10 best picture-nominated films under his belt, a record he shares with fellow Oscar-winner Jack Nicholson. Source
