For Issue #4, which comes out on June 14th and is appropriately focused around the idea of heat, Lisalla dons a variety of different designers, including a few of editor in chief Deborah Ferguson’s favorites: Park Choon Moo, Matthew Williamson, Boudicca, and Alexandre Herchovitch. “I wanted to achieve the balance of her Brazilian natural beauty with directional ready-to-wear designers that are reflective of our overall creative direction,” explained Deborah. The Maybelline face was busy shooting a feature and cover for the quarterly online fashion magazine, but we snagged a few moments while she was in hair and makeup to talk about the shoot with photographer Tiziano Magni, her new BFF, as well as an exciting upcoming project! Have you shot with Tiziano Magni, the photographer, before? No, but I’m so excited to work with him. I’ve heard so many amazing things about him. Friends of mine said he is amazing and really strong photographer. So I’m really excited and I’m sure I’m going to use some of his work in my book. Your book? It’s kind of a secret actually, but I’m launching my book. It’s a professional book, all my interviews, and how my career happened, launching in 2012. How did the idea come about? We were having dinner, me, the client, the photographer, and some of the girls…then the client, actually she suggested ‘Why don’t you do a book?’ I was like, ‘What?! I love you!’ It’ll be all new photography. I mean I’m going to put my jobs I’ve done, everything. My interviews, magazines, everything is going to be put on paper, but everything is going to be new. We’re gonna be shooting in London, Paris, in Alaska; I’m really really excited. Any time for a vacation this summer? No time for vacation. No time for vacation at all. I mean when I go back to Brazil, I try to take a little time with my family, but again, it’s all about work. Jessica White and I were talking backstage yesterday evening and I was like, “ya know what? We should go to Bahamas, do yoga, have drinks, relax, and have fun. She was like, “You know what, Lisalla, I love it, let’s do that!’ We were talking about booking tickets and getting to Bahamas for the weekend or something like that. She’s amazing, a very very smart girl, I admire her; I love her so much, I’ve know her for like almost six years now. She is the best, like best, best friend. My sister is my best friend as well and Jessica is now becoming my fave.
