If Anna had worked harder on her technique, she would have started to win tournaments and she would have probably come back on court when her injury was over. It's hard to start again if you weren't successful before. I suppose that Anna had too little motivation to come back. And of course Anna and Maria can be compared. Physical appearance doesn't determine one's chances to become successful. Martina Hingis is a former #1 female tennis player, and she's miles away in terms of physicality from Maria or Serena. Anna could have achieved much more, it's a shame she didn't win a single title during her career. I feel sorry for her, because I used to be some kind of a fan.
