I can't find the article but when she was asked why she didn't walk, she said that as a role model for young girls (she was doing some charity work in an African country IIRC) it would look silly walking around in her underwear on the catwalk. Last year a lot models like Jourdan Dunn and Sandra Kubicka had Instagram posts trashing VS after they weren't cast.
