My opinion is I never like 1 show as a whole, perhaps with exception of 2008. My dream if they could blend all the good elements or characteristics of several shows into 1. For instance, I absolutely loved the Parisian segment and the Diamonds/Rihanna/French castle segment in 2012 but hated the rest. I also love how in the later show they use the stage more then they ever have and really can make it more theatrically. But I liked the format of the earliers shows in the sense that it was more a fashion show and that it had great energy, good remixes and the fact it was not a concert show where the singer is most relevant like it is now.

Yep true, often people tend to like 'things' the most that are attached in the time they are the youngest. That is why for instance parents and grandparents often say that everything in their time was better (for instance, society was better without internet or without cars). Same goes for the fashion show i think, although I can very objectively say the show is not that good at the moment.

2010 was the last great show; show had good energy, after that it becomes boring with borings songs, low energy and repetative.

I agree VS show needs to be improved in a lot of ways. The show has no focus at all, because they think more is better, there is not really a concept behind it or whatever you want to call it. And I actually am of the opinion the older models like Adriana and Ale and especially #BoydbyIza should retire from the VS show, so I am not trying to stick to the past or something. I like seeing new girls, but not all of them, because a lot of them don't stand out but are very generic, but definately have my favourites. It just seemed you had this idea about the older versus newer models that is not quite right, although you are entitled to your own opinion of course. A lot of the older models/angels are not that great proportioned, but the newer aren't either. But great proportioned girls perhaps don't have that perfect face or something. There are only a few that got 'the whole package'. Also you had the idea that the trend of no waist was of the older generation/Adriana's generation. That is not true, bc when VS started in the 90's it was ALLL about curvy, way more than nowadays. And after that Doutzen came and was considered curvy because she was fuller and Candice had her obvious curves. The stright up down shape with no waist has always been a plague to the fashion industry in general btw.

You're right, you want the heavenly unattainable model on the runway. Cute and bubbly is good for the PINK segment, as long as it doesn't spread out to alllll the segments.

I believe they always had diversity, if not the last years even more with Asian models? The problem with Alessandra's body: she probably heard that all her life but somehow became supermodel, just the way Kate Moss was way to short. The models are close to perfection but its difficult to have it all, like long legs, small waist, curvy + skinny.

Exactly, i am 32 but the majority of my friends are younger who are early twenties or mid twenties and say they think Adriana is really beautiful and hot, and some say she isn't that beautiful anymore do think that about the young Adriana. Personally I think Adriana should leave VS, she had her days and they were good, but you should stop when its time. Also the show definately changed and feel she doens't fit in anymore. A model like Sara Sampaio could really be a similar angel that Adriana used to be.

You don't have to relate to the older models. THe VS show is full of 20 year young models. It's very usual for VS to have to older angels for a longer period of time. They aren't the centre of attention anymore, the new angels and models get way more time in the commercials and shows and the in between segments. So don't understand why you are so irritated by that. There are only a few of the older models in the show (not like the show is full of them) who would naturrally appeal more to older women; and the 20 something models would appeal to teenagers or early 20 young women. So its not like they are forcing you to like the older models. You describe Karolina, Mirand and Rosie, and Doutzen as goddesses but they are also 30-something. And Elsa and Candice are 28, so almost 30. Reading your comment it sounds like you think the older models have no shape and no waist. Well a lot of the models of VS have absolutely no shape, except for Candice and Lais. Behati became a VS model because she was already really succesfull and was excellent for PINK because she was the girl next door kind of model, she WAS cute and bubbly, later became an angel, some people think she should have stayed ambassador for Pink. You sound a bit harsh judging the models.

Yes I remember that, I was the same. I was like o_o who is that, who just walked by. The outfit of Carmen is very classic, stylish, it represents everything I think about when I think lingerie.

It's not about going back to 2005. Of course it should not be same, a show must evolve. To make the show about the artist is a matter of opinion. The show could still be great or even better than '05 without making it a concert show, but putting it more in true fashion show format, and then the girls can still have fun. I loved how they worked with the stage, like in 2012 with Diamonds segment they projected French castles on the background. That is really creative how they worked with the stage, but making it into a pop concert is not a good development IMO.

Miranda looks soooooo incredibly well in '08. The pink outfit of D is heavenly.

My favourite was Carmen Kass in 2008, but forgot how to place a link on the forum.

Candice and the 2nd of D are great. The outfit of Behati didn't suite her at all. Her legs were to skinny for it and makes her belly the focus of attention. The outfit was originally destined for Lais I believe but then she got that accident (she fell). I have often noticed that VS don't pay attention to the shape of the models and give the wrong outfits to the wrong girls (but often they also do an excellent job).

Loved the outfits of Euginia and Doutzen, the rest a bit blah.

One of my favourit shows, one of my favourite models and outfits. Also I liked that year because I was 22.
