I searched back and didn't see it and I honestly didn't see the nudity/nip shot. I was looking more at her face which was amazing to me and also thinking what a great scan VH had done.

Darkthrone and Lancelot, you guys write sooooo well! I'm crackin' up laughing at your posts today You guys are great! DT, those shots that Joe so kindly posted are from the shoot for SISE. We will have to wait and see if they are in the mag as they are. Can't wait! Totally LOVE your comments about the "disarranged fairy tale". She is soooo the chameleon that Lancelot speaks of. She just ROCKS....that's all there is to it! Here is a quote from Stewart Shining, the photographer who shot her spread last year in SISE: "Tori is, to me, the ultimate all-American classic. I think she'll be one of those icons, like Cheryl Tiegs or a Blue Lagoon-era Brooke Shields. Tori has a very sporty body, strong and athletic with super long legs and that awesome blonde hair, which is thick and natural. When she walks down the street your jaw drops open because she's so striking in real life: the height, the hair, the legs, everything. I was really proud of her pictures". Pretty high praise from a very, very well-known photographer, wouldn't ya' say?? :hell yea!: Can't say I disagree with a single thing he said. (Y)

I think that's a bit too simplified of an approach. SI is a business, obviously, and the model with the best photo (which is so subjective anyway) might not be the best model to go out and promote the issue. I mean, if a model took the greatest photo ever but is a bumbling idiot in interviews, she probably shouldn't get the cover. SI needs models who take great photos and can win over reluctant buyers via the promotional circuit, especially considering the current economy. When I say " the best picture" I mean the picture that will look amazing and that means the picture that the editors know will SELL the issue! I agree that SI is a business and so they're going to be looking for a cover model who has it all ( e.g, Marisa, IMO, who's an American girl who took a good cover shot and has a sweet and interesting personality.) However, if SI is going to put a girl on the cover who has taken an average picture simply because she's going to sound good talking on Letterman, I don't think that's business smart. You're right beauty is subjective, but IMO I look at the past SI issues and trust the magazines judgment on what a beautiful cover is! Just not Beyonce again, pleeeeeeeeeeeez! I don't even know how many magazines that cover sold but I'm really, really hoping for a model on the cover. So many of the mags are shooting actresses and musicians for covers of fashion mags and I always feel disappointed. <_< As far as who sounds good, I think the majority sound good even if they have thick accents. It's part of their charm. From the clips I've seen, I think they all pretty much sound charming, in their own ways. Just being the Sports Illustrated Cover Model will cause people to tune in to a TV interview or go to an appearance. SISE is a really big deal! In the end, it should be whoever really ROCKS that swimsuit and has the best shot.

Yeah, I agree She seems like a sweet girl and has an amazing body, but IMO her nose looks like she was hit with a football ( * flashes back to Marsha Brady* ) I think has gotten better-looking over the years Does anyone know what else she does besides SI? I've never seen her doing anything else I remember seeing her in Pantene ads but I can't think of any others. Seems like there was a clothing line for one or two ads but I can't think of whose it was.

I totally agree with rainy and Kerri about the issues with Bar. Those things won't make a bit of difference. Bar is an amazing model and if she gets the cover, she deserves it. She does so many different types of work plus you can just see her personality shine through. But, if she doesn't, it won't be because of her being from Israel. Otherwise, SI wouldn't have gone there in the first place to shoot! SI is a savvy organization. They know what they are doing. We'll know on Monday!

It's funny that you talk of lack of class when you yourself are willing to stoop to such insinuations. Yes, we know you want Tori Praver on the cover. There's no need to disparage the kind of models the public wants to see in order to try to validate your opinion. Well, how interesting that you would say I was insinuating anything. I wasn't. I was stating matter of factly my opinion......no insinuation intended. I get to give my opinion the same as everyone else, don't I? And, would I like it if Tori got the cover? You betcha. BUT, here's a diff between you and me....I have stated over and over again that I'd be pleased with a whole lot of the girls. I post great comments about lots of girls. I don't pretend that Tori is the Queen of all Models because there are so many girls who bring different things to the table. Also, read my post again, please. I was stating my opinion of what kind of cover I would like to see, much like the ones that Strawberry Big Mac was talking about, too. I also agree with Pinky when she stated an idea that seemed to be new and innovative. I was talking about the art of the cover and the presentation. As a matter of fact, I was looking today at all the old covers and IMHO, Veronika's struck me as being really great, so was Heidi's and on and on. It's lovely that you know, absolutely and without a doubt, who the public wants to see. It's also lovely to take into consideration ALL polls, not just the ones that have your desired result. I guess the others who have posted opposite opinions are "classless" just like me. Apparently, there are double standards here about who can and who can not give their opinions. I guess that gives you the right to say that the models are all "second tier". Do you think that was a really nice thing to say? Really? Nope, it wasn't but apparently you are entitled to say that and I'm not entitled to give my opinion.........even though it was not saying something bad about a model, it was talking about the cover. My appreciation for great editorials takes me not only to the body and includes the styling, the posing, the ability to show many different looks, etc. But to call someone "second tier"? IMHO, that was tacky. A LOT of these girls do it all!..every type of modeling. A lot may be new to the magazine but they are NOT new to some really, really amazing modeling! I DID forget that That's one of her best, best features! How many girls can look absolutely gorgeous from all angles? Not many. But, Tori can.

I wouldn't want it to be ALL of them on a spread cover but I just want it to be something new, something exciting and innovative. I'm with others about it being all about boobs lately. Boobs do not make a model the most sexy, not by a long shot. There is nothing left to the imagination with cheesecake-type pictures. The idea that it has to be a girl with big boobs and the accent on them is really a very immature attitude, IMHO. I find the covers from the past that have been so darn good have been the ones that have had the girls in a hot suit, not baring it all...just really, really ROCKIN' the suit. Again, leave something to the imagination. I just want to get back to a semblance of class, not cheesy stuff. I'm sooooooo over that and I think tons of the polls on here show that many others are sick :yuckky: of the shots/girls who only have that to give, who can't do anything else except put the sex shots to the front of the line. It's soooo boring and sooooo yesterday. Also, I get tired of people saying that HF girls shouldn't be in the mag. Why not? Because their fave can't get jobs in HF? hmmmmmmm To sum up, let's have something new, while getting back to the type of years past.

Darkthrone, no, there are no outtakes of shoots, only pictures that we have seen plus her personal family pics. She also, in no way, ever toots her own horn about what she's doing or what's she's done. She actually has very few pictures up of her and modeling. Yes, any social site saying it is Tori Praver is NOT real. She doesn't use her name. And, gawwd!, there are sure a lot of people who would like you to believe they are her. They put on their sites just the same old info you can get anywhere and even most of that isn't true. The fakers are so unoriginal in their info and sure don't know the truth. They don't even know when her birthday is!! Lancelot, there really isn't any definitive answers on when her official website will be done and back up. We'll just have to wait until they get it the way she wants it, I guess. She is not really concerned with all that anyway. She is not one to do so darn much self-promotion, "look at me and what I did" stuff like certain unnamed others. Getting news is NOT a bad thing but "I'm so awesome, look at me and let me tell you everything I do so you can be sure and fawn over me" IS a bad thing........out of character for this totally down-to-earth sweetie pie. How you can be so dang gorgeous and still not be a teensy bit conceited is beyond me but she pulls it off. I'm hoping for the cover of S.I. but there are some things that point to it not happening right at this time. She got the 2009 calendar cover so you know they regard her highly. And, why wouldn't they? Anyway, we will know on Monday and I'm kind of confused because I've read that the cover model will be on Letterman on Monday nite. I've read that many places but someone else said ( a person who presents himself as the only "in the know" person when it comes to models", like the rest of us aren't privy to info or pics) it will be on Wednesday so who knows? Just watch both nights, I guess. I've also read, in a very cryptic fashion, that the way the cover model will be unveiled will be in a "surprise" way so I don't know. But, then they all get on a plane, specially decorated, and jet from NYC to Vegas for the big party. I know for a fact that Andy Roddick is auctioning off tickets to that party so sometimes, I think that's a clue that Brooklyn will get it but on the other hand, no one knows, right? except the editors? So, it's a crap shoot. Either way, I can't wait and I think it will be a very good issue, certainly better than the last couple of years. I'm with you, Pinky. I think it will be a cover different from what we have seen lately and I think it will be innovative. The covers are getting really, really predicatable lately so I think something new. I'm asking for the gun if it is a Beyonce kind of do=again! :evil: If they get innovative, I think any one of the girls would be great! (Y) (Y) If it's the "sex" shot they seem to be going for in the last years and NOT something innovative, I think it will be Bar or Brooklyn still and I like both of them a lot. If you mean less mainstream in terms of fame rather than physical appeal, I don't think the SISE has been exactly packed with mainstream models for quite awhile. In years past, you could have models like Laetitia Casta or Josie Maran make multiple appearances in the issue and still never get the cover because SI had more big names than they had covers to give. Now though, with Marisa and their other stars gone, the only models SI has to give the cover to are models who would never have had a chance at it back in like 2002. That all said, I'm still half-suspecting Selita is getting the cover and SI is just holding her back from promotion as a surprise. Sorry if this is all off-topic! "a little meanly" ? Ya' think? I stopped by to see if the full editorial for Cosmo was posted in UHQ. I was gonna' post it if it wasn't already posted. I saw your post and have to tell you, honestly, I was wondering how you would play off this year's issue, which angle you would come at it with, when I saw your post elsewhere being very specific about who was "good enuff, but only sorta". You haven't disappointed.

I'm surprised ABB isn't in it this year. Not surprised about Marisa though, since last year we knew weeks ahead of time that she was in it again, but had nothing to go on this year. I think the whole group is just perfect! Refreshing changes, for sure. I like every single one of the girls. Yep, every single one. I, of course, would love to see Tori get the cover but I'll be really happy if either Bar or Brooklyn get it, too. If I was to bet, I'd say it will be one of the three and I'm feelin' pretty confident of that. The only thing I'm wondering if they would go with a blonde again. I heard that the cover model will be announced on David Letterman next Monday nite, in a surprising way. That ought to be good! The only one I'm so sadly missing is ABB. I have a feeling that they are trying to go another way and give the mag a more classy look (all of these girls have it) but ABB?? She's classy.... and gorgeous, too. Not seeing her really surprised me and made me sad.
