  1. Just gonna show y'all some... uh... rather traumatizing images of some China fashion shows copying VSFS.

Side note, I do think these grannies are killing it. Just that, well, the image will stick for awhile

  2. Just curious, but did anyone notice that Maggie Laine nearly slipped and fell while she was walking in PINK? Or is it just my eyes deceiving me? You can see a slight misstep from 3:30 - 3:33

  3. Off-White, lmao. I hate Off-Whites, none of their shirts are even good. From where I come from, a basic Off-White tee can easily fetch for a price of 300-500 dollars :glare:

  4. I don't know bout you guys, but despite my hate for Bee, she phrased her words rather intelligently and I think people are just making a big deal of out of her comments.

At the risk of sounding controversial or being insensitive, I figured now's a better time than any other to say this. I hope VS never hires plus size models or transgenders to walk the show. While I don't discriminate them, I do believe that there's a time and place for everything. You want a plus size models to walk the runway? Great, let's do an Ashley's Secret or whatever it is. You wanna see some transgender model strut down the runway? Let's do a Transgender's Secret instead. My point is, I don't think VS ever intended to come across as not wanting to be inclusive. Like it or not, VS has always marketed their products to ladies on the slimmer side and that's always been their m.o.

Just because you can't find a lingerie in your size, it doesn't mean the company isn't embracing said size. That's the problem with the society these days. Everything needs to be made for everyone and that's just bullshit. That Victoria Garrick girl who took to Instagram to express her opinions about Bee's statement is another attention seeking whore, as with Halsey and the Third Love founder.

If you look up to a model and aspire to be like her in the name of beauty, good for you. At least you have some body goals to work towards. But if you expect yourself to wake up one day and have the same hourglass figure that models have and you end up blaming said model or company just cause you can't attain that particular beauty standard, then you've got self-esteem issues. Nobody ever told you that you needed to have a tiny waist like Candice's or that you should have a body or booty like Jo's. You personally looked up to them and wanted to be like them when YOU COULD BE YOU. Most importantly, the models themselves are innocent, they had no part in the whole inclusion matter. You don't see Candice telling people that her figure's body goals.

Candice was blessed with a tiny waist. She did not starve herself (or even if she did, to an extreme extent) just to get that waist size. Candice's waist has always been that way and she doesn't deserve to be blamed just because some silly girl wants to look like her and when she failed in doing so, decides to take it out on VS by posting on Instagram about how VS is not being inclusive. That isn't VS' problem, it's the girl's problem.

I know my comment might rub some people the wrong way, but I'm so over the whole inclusive drama. I'm fine with meatier girls walking VSFS. I could do with someone like Sofie or Barbs P,  the kind of models that have a little more meat compared to your average HF models. Heck, I wouldn't mind seeing some celeb face walk for VS. But I am definitely not going to support the idea of Ashley Graham and her big fat thighs hitting the pink runway. If it ever came to a point where we ever saw Ashley Graham strut her stuff on VS, I'm sure few years down the road, someone might be asking for figures like Whoopi Goldberg to strut her shit too. And if we ever get trans people walking the runway, people just might start asking for crossdressers to walk too. What's next then? A RuPaul's Secret Fashion Show?

No, just no. The problem originates from you and only you. If you're one of those people going "VS needs to be more inclusive" or whatever brand it is for that matter, then you're the problem. I'm an Asian gay male and even I don't complain about the lack of representation. You do what you gotta do. You don't see me crying about how VS x Mary K is catering their tee-shirts to their female consumers, because VS is a bloody feminine brand. You either suck it up or buy it or you drop it and just admire the shirt from far, period. Likewise, the same goes for Victoria Garrick, Heidi Zak and even that backstabbing bitch who goes by the name of Halsey, who apparently is notorious for disguising herself as some black girl trapped in a white female's body :glare: .

Now, for Claud's "I have seen the VSFS and I have something to say" TED Talk

Overall I actually liked the show a lot, it's probably my favorite one since 2012 so I'm confused as to why everyone is hating on it so much. Like I said before, most of the outfits were actually pretty good and the casting was okay too, I still think 60 models was too much but the good thing is that with them having so many models I was able to focus on the ones I like because they were a lot so the 20-25 I didn't like I was just like meh.

I appreciate how the focus was mostly kept on the Angels, not even the nepo hoes got the extra screentime we all thought they would. If anything Barbara, Alexina, Grace and Sofie managed to get the same or more screentime than they did. Other than that, the show was focused on the angels, with the downside being that VS has so many Angels that half of them got lost in the crowd, if you're a VS fan and watch this show you'd think the only angels were Adriana, Candice, Elsa, Jasmine, Taylor, Martha and Josephine. That being said, all my girls got their fare share of screentime so I could not care less about the rest lol, but I was pretty surprised there was literally no mention of this being Bee's so-called big comeback, makes me wonder if this was it for her. I'm obviously thrilled Adriana got the farewell she deserved, not because she's my favorite model but because she really is the GOAT, it was done really well and I love how all the girls were crying and cheering for her backstage, it was just really sweet. I also like that after years they finally decided to give the FB a moment, it was short for sure but it was there and Elsa also got to close the segment so yay that, hopefully they'll keep this going.

The editing was IMO way better than other years, we got less audience shots (except for the nepo moments but I'm always thankful for Abel shots so I'm at peace with that), I liked Taylor's opening alright tbh, it was better than I expected and I think the shitty music had a lot to do with her lack of energy, but it still wasn't my least favorite opening ever, it obviously wasn't the best one either but she did look stunning. The casting segment was really sweet and something we don't get to see super often so I'm on board with that, the fitness segment was the same shit we get every year but they need to promote their sports line so I'm cool with that. I do hope they bring back the Angel profiles next year tho, they were some of my fave moments back in 2006-2008. The makeup and hair this year was just great, the best one VS has done in at least a decade tbh, not a single model looked bad, obviously I think some looked better than others but that's personal taste, but everyone looked decent so that's an improvement.

Now let's get to the really sad part ... The music was TRASH this year, Leela James was a mess, The Chainsmokers are trash and their "live" music is even worse and who is this Kelsea chick? Don't know her and based on this song, I never want to see her again, I was also cackling at the dude holding Lo's hand while she walked and she was trying to let go of him lol. Bebe Rexha is awful as well but at least her song fits in Pink, same for Rita Ora in Downtown. Shawn Mendes was good but I love him so that was a given, I just he hadn't been in that trainwreck of a segment but I like that he didn't try to steal the spotlight from the girls. The Struts however, I never heard them before and I'm a huge fan now, I love love love them and they fit perfectly for the show, I love that they got to perform during the finale too.

Overall I give this show 7/10 tbh. I was pretty happy with it :idk:

Sis, you gonna get the Mary K shirts  ?

  6. Personal thoughts after seeing all the segments a second time.

    Perfection:

    Grace Elizabeth

    Romee Strijd

    Lais Ribeiro

    Martha Hunt

    Duckie Thot

    Growing on me:

    Aiden Curtiss

    Lorena Rae

    Alanna Arrington

    Yasmin

    Needs to go:

    Sui He

    Ming Xi

    Estelle Chen

On the fence about the rest, that could either mean good or bad either way.

The angels really pulled their weights this year, and it's the vets that are such a snooze fest. I personally don't mind seeing Liu being a vet again, but that girl is more bye than hi for me. She'll probably walk the show for another year and she'll be in my "Needs to go list". I wonder which Asian model would step up to the game by then. Hopefully i-Hua <3.

  7. I can't believe there would ever come to a point that I'd say this, but Sui is so forgettable and such a snooze fest this entire show. I think I'm ready to let her go :ninja: I just need VS to bestow her the title of an angel, even just for a month and I'm good.

I might :p Just paid rent, a bunch of  bills, bought some X'Mas presents so I am mad broke :nicole:  Maybe when I am less broke I will get something :D

Are you getting the T-Shirt? :)

If they happen to have the t-shirt that I'm looking for, then yes, I'll be getting them :D. Sucks that I can't gauge the shirt sizes in person though, I'm running the risk of potentially buying them and not knowing if they'll be a good fit for my body size, or if they'll be too big or small for me.

    THANK YOU ❤️ !!

One more thing, does anyone what's the music used in the angels' fitting video? I'm trying to Shazam the bgm but to no avail.

I kinda like how Taylor was being super honest about her feelings when they told her that she was going to open the show. I mean apart from feeling a bag of emotions, she was forthcoming when she said she "doesn't open shows". To a lot of people, perhaps even VS, that might have been a huge deal breaker for them because Taylor's a model and is meant to exude confidence, but I really thought it meant knowing her limitations as a model and realizing that she's not the most impactful model to open the show.

  11. Not really. They showed the video of Jasmine in her fittings for the Mary K outfit. Then again, they probably might have gone with that just cause she was opening said segment.

Does anyone know if and when it is being aired in Australia? We usually get things super late lol

It's probably 2pm your time. Last year VSFS 2017 happened at my 11am my time. Not sure if you guys are 2-3 hours ahead of me, but that should roughly be 2pm your time.
