I think it has to do with agencies trying to promote their clients. A lot of award shows operate on the same principle. Also I suspect that SI invests money for promos etc. in advance so they have more time to prepare for ROTY announcement. Kate Bock win was made IMO as an attempt to breathe a life into her career but that didn't pan out. I mean, they are lying about her age, desperately trying to up her career but it hasn't really worked.

Well at least we can be sure that she isn't boring at barbecue parties.

I think I just realized that ROTY is one of the most powerful things in the Universe. Kate Bock won it years ago and she just keep getting younger. Next year she'll be 21! Side note, Erin's thread is hilarious. I think a riot is coming. MJ is so fucked.
