I have to agree. I would get if it was only the new girls getting one outfit and then everyone else got two, but girls like Maryna, Jacquelyn, Jasmine & Elsa who have been working a lot for them get one it's like but Cindy Bruna who has literally zero VS work gets two outfits o.O ... I'm just like WUT? I think 30 models is just the perfect number, 8 Angels with three outfits each and then the other 22 can be divided between 8 newbies with one outfit each (maybe two for girls like Sara who have worked a lot for VS pre-VSFS) and then have the other 14 girls be returning girls wearing two outfits each. I will never understand why VS does not give more attention to the girls who literally bring their profit in all. year. round. The catalogue girls get no love.

Don't forget Doutzen and Constance were in there too. And I don't dislike Sigrid but I think she is suited almost entirely for HF--the commercial translation for me is not thrilling. I am also very glad she put a little weight back on because the first time I heard she was cast all I could think about was that picture of her and Karlie

I'm not a fan of this lineup, but it also honestly doesn't matter who actually shows up to St. Barth's because you best believe the entire catalogue and website will be dominated by Candice (70%) and Behati (20%) followed by the rest of these girls.

YES AGREED 100% Sigrid was just so so unnecessary. But you know how VS feels about skeletal, bland blondes; you just know that Sigrid was probably hand picked by Sophia or John P. Honestly, they should have had Frida, Shanina or Bregje walk in her place. +100000000000000000000000. The sad fact is that America is so predictable that VS knows they can still be fooled into thinking a basic blonde is the pinnacle of attractiveness (do I even need to list names here........)

I also only speculate that the contracts are 3 years, but I'm not sure who has the actual answer to that. It's also strange that Behati signed her contract before any of the new angels, even while she was still a pink girl, but she was the last to be heavily used in campaigns (now she's becoming quite prominent in the brand, possibly due to her tie with Adam). Lindsay seems like the poor man's Erin to me, she's filling Erin's place in the VSX campaign, was always used in small campaigns for bras that never lasted (exception being the gorgeous campaign) and they don't use her very often on the press day's like they always did Erin, Lily, and Candice. It will definitely be interesting to see what happens with her next year. I believe I read somewhere that Adriana's contract is 5 years, rather than 3, but she and Ale have been with the company for such a long time and it shows, but the recognition those two have is priceless. With regards to Rosie, my friend who works for VS said that the PR team and Marketing team were not happy with her after she left and it was not on good terms, perhaps she broke her contract since she left so early? She also started her own lingerie line to compete with VS, but I don't know how well it's actually doing. And with regards to Chanel, I attended the '11 after party and the only girl there she was friends with was Karlie, who wasn't even an angel at the time. Otherwise she spent the entire night following Kanye and his posse around, and then ended the night crying in the lobby while Karlie consoled her (it was really bizarre but she clearly didn't click with her colleagues). Miranda also spent the entire night by herself with Orlando in a corner, Candice spent the whole night surrounded and getting bombarded by industry professional's, and all the rest of the girls were hanging out (Lily Donaldson and Izabel Goulart seemed especially close with the angels). Thanks for the info. And that's a bummer about Chanel... I think that was the year she got dropped. Her career really stalled after signing with IMG. Also, I know Lindsay doesn't get used a lot, but it seems like Ed is quite fond of her (just based on how they interact in social media)

Camille Rowe Pourcheresse is a French model (American Mom but the chick is French) she is also an actress... well kindish. She is very bland, blond, boring, high fashion and super thin. In 3 words :Perfect for VS. LOL. Also, I think Camille and Bridget look really similar.

IDK about this whole comment, but I bolded the last phrase because what I think is most interesting is that the brand is now publicly getting to a point where the models are known for their intense diets/workouts. Ed and Monica kind of embraced it in that casting video; angels who lose weight seem to get way more attention (Behati, Candice a while back). Getting casted for the show is working hard combined with this weird Instagram game of "Look! I'M BOXING EVERY DAY AT GOTHAM GYM, CASTING PANEL!" which actually influences whether or not you make the show... IDK it's weird and I feel like it's relatively new and mildly uncomfortable.

Do you guys think they will ever get rid of the PINK section on the show? I feel like I don't see the point of it. Right now it feels like they are marketing it to 10 year olds with the fashion and the rest of the show is marketed towards the college-age audience, not really much older than that to be honest.

I agree with most of this; all I will say is that they need to select very wisely and they desperately need multiple angels of color. And TexasLongHorn2013, I wouldn't be so sure about them fast-tracking Martha. This story could play out the same way as Palvin's if they just decide they don't like her anymore... I still don't get the whole blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl argument. If Doutzen leaves early next, that will mean three slots are open (after losing Miranda and Erin this year). Plenty of room for a blonde, a brunette, and a black model. Or a blonde and two black models (better scenario for me). Maybe its due to me being a guy that I am missing the point regarding the marketing of two top-tier blonde models? Martha has "It" and I think VS knows it. If you have been following Martha's career closely, as I have, and her recent work with VS, it seems pretty clear. I could be wrong but I don't think so. It was even capped off with a strong performance in the VSFS. She even got wings her first time out. Karlie was the last to do so I think. Let me say again, as a black male, I really appreciate the desire to have more black models and other models of color added to the VS brand. No one is accusing them of racism, but women of color are a big percentage of their base. I love Candice, Martha, Lily, and Doutzen, but long to see another Tyra Banks. Barbara got wings her first time out. Didn't even have to do a live casting; she just sent a video. And we see where that went...but that was a different situation. Martha also gets an advantage for being American, which I think they like. Anyway, y'all should probably turn the conversation back to Candice
