You know there's a thing called Google. And you can find out in like 5 seconds who Emerson Barth is. And what kind of relationship they have.- Clarissa Fodor

Thanks Pink, you're right, it's never black and white. I don't have a messiah complex, so I won't write to SI or anything else just to try to change the way American people think. As this case shows it's not so easy. And it's not my responsibility. And tbh, I don't care. It's just really sad. And just for the record, I only kept talking about the topic, because my point was being called stupid and ridiculous. Well, it's always easier to be cynical than to be understanding and open to different opinions. My lesson is learned, it's clear for me now, that calling someone fat is a HUGE insult over the ocean. I didn't know that. I don't undestand it, but fine, I accept it. I didn't change my mind about what I call healthy though.- 2016 SI Swimsuit
My problem is not Ashley on the cover. I have no issues with different bodytypes. My problem is that they sell it as healthy. They can sell it, but not with headlines 'healthy'. And we're getting back to the point what we find healthy/overweight. It seems ppl living there are praising this, that's why they got this cover. Imo it's dangerous, seeing how huge problem obesity over there.- 2016 SI Swimsuit

It's not about my fatphobia. I hope you at least took your time and tried to understand what I'm talking about. Because it seems you not even try. It's easier to call my thoughts stupid and etc. And your idea about smoking and Kate Upton is nothing to do with fat acceptance. I'm really sorry that you still don't get my point. to @Kevork89, I guess you're the only one. (and jj, but you always knew) Smoking won't show up on a cover. That's also a bad thing, but as far as I know noone started a campaign that let's smoke. I'm really sorry of your society. In the end of the day it's still better to be skinny, or extremely skinny than overweight. Do your research if you don't believe me! Or at least read that Guardian article... I have never started over again btw if not that Cheryl video.- 2016 SI Swimsuit
Kevork, you think right, I think that people will say that in the end if they get this in their faces from the media. Of course there are different bodytypes, and what VS does is another story, that's damaging too... But here I'm talking about fat acceptance. In my opinion Ashley is overweight. Lot of people find this comment rude here or dumb or idk what, but if you watch her in motion, you can see the extra fat on her. It's not only her bodytype. But don't go into that direction now again because that's not my point that Ashley's a pig or that I don't like her cover. I don't have problems with showing different bodytypes (btw where are small girls? where are flat girls? where is any Asian girl? etc...) My problem is that everyone in SI videos says this is healthy. That her body is healthy. She even says that average American size is 14 like hers. I think this is damaging. Average overweight American women will think that her body is fine and that she's healthy. Ok, accept your body, but don't say that you don't have any extra pounds. (any extra fat raises the risk of cancer, cardiovascular problems, diabetes...maybe she's healthy ATM...but surely won't be in a long run, as Cheryl Tiegs said).I would be totally fine with it, if they wouldn't promote it as healthy. Healthy body image is a different thing. Healthy body image is that when a fat woman can realize that she's fat and she needs to lose weight, then she doesn't have delusions about herself. I saw that Ashley's working out, don't know about her diet. Yes, we have different bodytypes, women's bodybuilding is even more complicated because of hormones, so yes, some people are lucky and don't have to do so much work, but some are unlucky and has to, to have an ideal body. Or let's not say ideal, but healthy. And here's the thing where we see this differently. What we find healthy...Once again I don't find Ashley's body so healthy. She can be healthy, if you mean by healthy that she has no high blood pressure, diabetes etc but imo that's not enough. You said even your sisters are talking about it in Australia...So what it is if not a promotion? Of course people have to deal with their bodies, and some people will never have a body like Hannah F has. But:- 2016 SI Swimsuit
Well, it was rude to say that about Ashley, but I think her main point is clear. And that's not stupid at all. In a country where obesity is such a huge problem maybe they shouldn't promote it. (ok, I know, I know , you think that Ashley's not fat. or overweight.) http://www.theguardian.com/cities/2016/feb/11/houston-health-crisis-diabetes-sugar-cars-diabetic This is a really interesting article about obesity and diabetes in Houston. I guess it's true in the USA in general. That's why we can't agree.- 2016 SI Swimsuit

Lol. I don't hate her. But I don't love her so called style. And the rest of you shouldn't support her in making these awful decisions.- Barbara Palvin

I'll never understand Barbara. Her style. She could get the best outfits. And now she looks like Helen Mirren. Who's great, but in Barbara's case it's a tragedy imo. How many events she had? 6-7? And there was only one time when she was wearing something not so forgettable and BLACK. I didn't want to bash her again but seriously this is so upsetting. Like a mourning widow. ALL THE TIME. She looked so great and fresh in that secretary look yesterday... I'm not saying that her looks are bad, but her choices day after day are questionable to say the least.- 2016 SI Swimsuit
