  1. Fine. Though I can't post pics atm, but maybe later.

So I got the recipe from a Hungarian girl's blog http://www.sutikbirodalma.hu/2012/03/malnas-sajttorta.html

Her cake looks so beautiful so I won't really dare to post mine, though it looks okay. :p

    here's the recipe

    Spoiler
    Ingredients:
    Biscuit:

    • 365 g oat cookies (I buy it, this is a sweet cookie)
    • 70 g melted butter
    Cheesecream:

    • 750 g natural cream cheese (I use only Philadelphia)
    • 250 g sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla aroma
    • 3 eggs

    Raspberry sauce:

    • 75 g raspberry
    • 1,5 tablespoon sugar

    Directions:

    1. Chop the cookies into fine, then add the melted butter and stir completely.
    2. Press the mixture into the tin.
    3. In a preheated oven, on 180°C bake it for 10 minutes.
    4. Add to the cheese cream the sugar and the vanilla aroma, then beat it in a medium speed for 30 sec.
    5. Add 1 egg to the middle of the cream, and beat it until smooth.
    6. Then add the another two eggs, but one at a time.
    7. If the cookies cooled down, pour to this the cream.
    8. Firmly hit the tin to the table, and pierce the bubbles with a tooth-pick.
    9. Simmer the raspberry with the sugar, then strain out the seeds.
    10. Decorate the cheesecake with this sauce.
    11. Cover the pan with 4-5 layer aluminium foil, and knit up with a string the edge of the foil.
    12. Boil around 0,5 l water.
    13. Put the cake into a bigger pan, and pour the water into this pan. (WARNING: the water don't be higher than the lowest edge of the foil!)
    14. In a preheated oven, on 165°C bake it for 65 minutes, after 30 minutes cover the pan with an aluminium foil.
    15. Let it to cool down, and refrigerate overnight.
    16. Next day serve the cake with the remaining raspberry sauce.

    Difficulty: medium
Prep time: 2 hours + refrigerate
Baking time: 10 mins and 65 mins
    Baking temperature: 180°C and 165°C

    Bon appétit!

There are more infos in her video I think and I also checked an other recipe for advices...

@Cult Icon  It wasn't difficult at all, but there are some tricks you have to do for a good cheesecake (at least I read that :D, not that I'm so experienced). I only had difficulties with my oven and that my knife wasn't sharp enough, but maybe I made a mistake when I cut the edge of it after baking, but I read it in an other recipe... I have to fix it tomorrow.

Well, IMO it's a bit pricey cake, though maybe only in my country's standards. All in all it wasn't so expensive, because I used strawberries instead of raspberries, since I have that in my garden now, so I saved quite a lot with that (raspberry doesn't have a season yet so it was a bit expensive), besides I got butter and eggs for free, and Philadelphia cream was on a very good price.

And answering your question it cost me less than 9 dollars (because of the free egg+butter, and I didn't count sugar and vanilla, because I had a lot from those at home, so I don't know their actual price) Now you can laugh that it's an expensive cake :D... :D

  2. BEST TOPIC EVER

I wanted to create the same in the past, but for some reason I didn't, so thank you so much, can't wait to see unknown recipes (for me). Though I'm afraid most of the time I'll have problems to get the right ingredients.

(I made a cheesecake today. It was my first attempt. It looks good, but will be tasted only tomorrow. I guess cheesecake is not a big fuss for anybody here, so I won't post it :D...)
