Actually she was in town. Casting started Aug 22nd. (And that outfit looks like a casting look.) But I think it’s unlikely she made it if she did go, going by the choices they’ve made so far.

I was actually thinking about his “selling a fantasy” comment today, and mentally rolled my eyes at it again. You’re selling bra and panties. The show is an hour long commercial. Just seems like bad business sense to “speak your mind” when you’re trying to sell a product to some of these women. Also...I’m prime VS demographic and I can say that very very few of my friends have any interest or respect for VS. Most of my friends don’t even watch the show- they’re more likely to be making fun of it. They all love Rihanna’s Savage line, and Adore Me and Aerie over VS, and sure, VS can keep selling this “fantasy” but it’s not going to make them money if they don’t adapt.

Just an update, since the show has taped she's gained 55K followers. I'm very interested to see how she does after the airing.

I’m not going to say whether or not I personally think Ed should step down/be removed for his comments, but I will say I can definitely see it as a possibility for damage control if this continues to gain traction.

The models involved themselves, they’re fully allowed to have an opinion on the matter. Given Kendall’s own personal history with Caitlyn, I’m not surprised she commented. I do think it’ll be interesting if she’s invested enough to turn down the show next year/if VS invites her back.

Charlotte seemed to really like Lo. She’s all over her instagram comments.

They used Solange Van Doorn in a recent campaign video. I swear there also used to be ecomm pictures of her on the site but I can’t find them now. Solange has also had a Fenty x Savage campaign and walked their show.

I'm very surprised VS didn't put an embargo on the invited influencers from uploading actual show content until they had aired in December. I could understand posting the backstage stuff and the party as promo, but you'd think they'd want to keep the show itself exclusive.

I think it speaks volume about Ed’s one personal issues that he says they’re not casting different sizes, or transmodels because they don’t fulfill this “fantasy” but you can’t lie and say models like Valentina Sampaio sell that fantasy a hell of a lot better than Alexina or Sadie. They’re also using plus girls for Pink so clearly they’re happy to join in on the body diversity when it makes them money.
