Reading this thread is giving me a headache. The attitude of many of the posters towards Adriana and/or her fans is childishly absurd. It makes me want to stan for her with every ounce strength in my body, not because I'm a fan, but just because 90% of people here are against her. I've noticed most members would take the side of absolutely any model when it comes to a debate involving Adriana. There are only a few people posting who are saying reasonable stuff about Adriana or any other model whether they like them or not. The rest are just on stand by waiting to applaud and congratulate anyone who disagrees with Adriana's people. I'm not taking the side of dreamss or any other member, I'm spreading what I think. So what if the fans of the other models aren't posting as much as her fans? That's their business. It's not Adriana's people's fault they are more vocal and are more open to a debate than the others. Adriana fans shouldn't say she's the best because u disagree and u are tired of hearing it? I might be wrong but that's the vibe I am getting here. They are fans, it's whatt they do. To be quite frank, bias is coming from both directions here.. I am seriously regretting ever briningg up that poll.. I only mentioned it to make the point I Was making clearer, not to start a huge fuss. If anyone thinks the poll is just an opinion, search it on the Web, or better yet I can provide links for u. If that's not enough, I will bring the people that participated on the poll (jk). I've lived in Europe for the past few years, and let me tell u, only models famousT here are Kate and Naomi, the likes of Adriana and Gisele are known here and there (people really know them, especially Gisele) but that's about it, at least that's what I've noticed in all the places I've been to. Adriana is more popular among men, Everyone can deny it until the earth trembles. that's all i'll say about that. Gisele is my numero uno, but that isn't clouding my judgement. I don't know about u guys, but the who's-more-famous talk is annoying the shit outta me. I am not going there again. How I wish we could have discussions where members post stuff without people's judgements being clouded by there strong feelings and passion about Adriana or any other model for that matter. But then again, life is unfair, my wish may not come through. I'm not here to be anyone's favorite girl, I'm only saying WHAT I think and I'll try to be civil with everyone. Heidi and Tyra are the only 2000s models who have the same recognition as the 90s girl even if they are considered lingerie models. After them, it's Gisele, but really, she isn't as famous as some people think. I've gotten a lot of "Gisele who?" from both europe annd Africa to think differently she's definitely the most famous 2000s girl, but she really isn't known by the average person, it's either u know her name or u know her face. Models generally aren't famous as they once were. Most people don't even know what a supermodel really is, they just throw it around... A vs angel IS a supermodel to majority of the peopleI think everyone here will agree that Gisele is the ish, but the average person don't really know. This and this! ex-chus me. Of course u do realize selling GQ is Adriana's specialty. A men's magazine. Wikipedia says her 2006 GQ cover was the best selling issue of the year. Her 2008 cover, set a record number of visits to the magazine's site. My male cousin last year told me a study conducted proved 48% of men would rather go out on a date with Adriana than watch the the Champions League final (which is watched by millions and millions of men worldwide, bigger than the super bowl). I googled it, it's true. Gisele is my absolute favorite, but I don't think the average man knows her over Adriana. I have friends, both male and female who know Adriana and some know Miranda, and they never google them or visit forums like this to know more about them. The only time they see them is in commercials or the annual show or when they are in the news.. Most arguments about Adriana are usually about how only men care about her. This is new to men .

People who tune in to watch the show year after year will definitely know the names and faces of the girls, if not all of them, then the veterans. They do after all name all the girls and show each of their faces in the opening credits . Their names are mentioned several times during the show and they speak of each other and get interviewed throughout the show. Even if the average viewer doesn't care about knowing the names of the angels, they might not forget the names of a few of the angels, especially those who come back to watch it every year. U couldn't have watched the last show without recognizing Miranda and Adriana's name....I'd like to know how well the US ELLE covers of the girls did. I need to know if people cared. I really like the atmosphere of this thread lol...so much fun

Then Americans are living in the 19th century or u need to go out more... You don't get to have two of the most talked about super bowl commercials this year, and be one of the most searched women on the Web if people don't give a fucks about u. I've got lots of love for Miranda, but it's just not possible for her to be more popular and famous than Adriana. Miranda's husband is famous, not very famous, but famous, but he isn't popular. I think Miranda is morepopular than he is. If she wasn't working for VS, I would be surprised to see her anywhere. Her KORA won't do much for her and most of her modeling work is forgettable. The only models more famous than Adriana are Kate and maybe Gisele. A big maybe. She's considered one of the sexiest women of this last decade and has famously worked for brands in all over Europe, Brazil, America has endorsed food, cell phones, flowers, cosmetics etc. She's not even my favorite, but calling her less popular than Miranda is just foreign to me. I read her Wikipedia page yesterday, and I was just amazed by what she's accomplished. That being said, about the fantasy bra, I hope Doutzen gets it. Alessandra will probs never gei the bra.

Intersrting last posts. I think super models still exist. Someone like Gisele has a bigger and better career than the originals. The only difference is, those girls had hype, so they were as big as pop stars. Some like Adriana is a world famous model. She, in my opinion is the only model who hasn't branded her name but has the same public recognition as Kate Moss. Her earnings is in millions and she has a long lasting career. After Heidi and tyra, I think she has the best commercial career. Fame isn't the only thing about being a super model. Daria werbowy is a mistress of the game and she arguably has a better fashion career than Gisele, yet she isn't known to the average joe. Girls like Irina and Bar, although Kind of famous, there careers are nothing special. Sport Illustrated is the only best thing to happen in their careers. So all in all, the supermodels in my opinion of the last 10years are Kate, Heidi, Adriana, Tyra, Gisele and maybe Karolina. Whether the fashion industry likes it or not, these are the only models people everywhere call Super Models.
