^ I think it is because I was surprised to see it this morning on a most known info tv channel :shock: I know, there are even skinnier girls-and to be honest I don't think Kasia lost much weight since the beginning of her career, I mean, I think she's been always skinny like that. I think it was posted in a "Models and celebs weight" thread on tfs that before castings, models are told to put [some thing, forgot what it was] in their underwear so they appear to weigh more than they really do, to avoid banning from the catwalk

I'm surprised no one here has mentioned about the news that says Kasia wasn't allowed to walk for Tommy Hilfiger s/s 2011 fashion show due to being "oo skinny"! Her height is 179cm and she weighs 53kg. Haha, I remember cause I read about it on few different websites. Or maybe it's just a rumour? Maybe it wasn't due to her being "too skinny"? Does anyone know? But if it wasn't, I doubt there would be such fuss about it

I think I may start visiting this thread regularly soon. Of course, Monika will never replace Anna J. to me but I think she's my second favourite Polish model, possibly in my top 10 too as well. There was an article on onet.pl, I don't remember its title but it was sth like "beautiful sisters". I focused more on Anna as it was from a sports magazine, but it was an interesting read As many people feel kinda creepy saying Monika's body is wonderful (creepy because of her age) I really hope she stays this way and I think here is a huge possibility for it-I mean, she comes from a sports family-so I assume she's aware of how to stay in shape without starving since she was a little kid. And she really sounds smart for her age. We have this thread on BZ "Model age?" and even though I can't imagine to have a daugher who I'd let work as a model under 16, I guess there are some exceptions-like Monika or Gemma starting early. Ok, I know that thread focuses on sth slightly different concerning models' age but I just wanted to throw Monika's and Gemma's names in one sentence btw how do foreigners spell "Jac"? like "Jack"? Or "Yack"? And I flipped a few pages back and read Peter Lindbergh was born in Poland! I had no idea....

^ I heard mixed opinions about her appearance-I mean, generally people complain her accent sucks but she's pretty good in her role if this makes sense. "The Town" has its premiere here on Christmas Eve :| ridiculous. I'd like to see: Easy A Blue Valentine The Oranges too bad I don't know the premiere dates of them (for my country).

I don't really know, I guess it also depends if she puts on lots of make-up off-work and what kind of skin care she uses. And if she smokes etc. But I remember reading some article good few months ago that designers want young models on the cawalk, because even if they get tired, their skin is still "fresh" and regenerates faster than let's say skin of a 20 something model-so this is why you rarely see girls in their 20s deciding to debut in modelling.

I was surprised to see Karlie in "Gossip Girl"! She didn't say much but she was definitely better than Lydia Hearst (who made an appearance in season 1).

Well, I read yet another explanation for her "meat outfit" but I read it on a Polish gossip website which is known from twisting words, especially when they have to be translated anyway, the news "said" that Lady GaGa wore meat to support gays in American army. She said that wearing meat is against her own beliefs, as she's vegan (didn't know about it btw). And gays in American army can't come out and they have to live in closet. Something like that I don't get her analogy to be honest.

I just watched "Going the distance" and Leighton has a cameo there she's on the screen for about 2 minutes, at the beginning of this movie. Has anyone else seen her in this? I think she was so cute! and I think I have a gif from the part of her scene, when I find it I'll post it

There is nothing really worth translating there, but what got me wondered is that they wrote Tiiu learnt how to ride a bicycle at age 21. Is it true? Does anyone have a link to an interview where she would mention it?

I think there's no such thing as the best age to start. It really depends on girl's psychique and other factors. But I agree with you about the certain rule that should be introduced, like not putting a model in a see-through clothing on the runway if she's under 16 (if not 18). I found it weird that Tanya D. had to walk the Dior runway at age 15 in a see-through dress Anyway, I guess if I had to choose the best age to start.... it's probably 15-16 (to do modelling as a part-time job, during weekends, holidays etc.) and then do it full-time when you're done with high school. Then again, some of my favourite models didn't go to high school, they just would have to pass subjects every few months without going to school regularly.... I somehow admire that as I can't imagine I could handle modelling and school with GOOD grades.

Ugh, can't open those gifs but I'm guessing DKNY model is Lara Stone (if this is the new camapign for Be Delicious) and if it's the first campaign for the fragrance and the model is brunette then it's Louise Pedersen
