Andrew Russell Garfield was born on August 20, 1983 to a British mother from Essex and an American father from California. His family moved to England when he was three years old. Garfield is Jewish and was raised in a “middle class home”. His parents ran a small interior design business; his father, Richard, later became head coach of the Guildford City Swimming Club, and his mother is a teaching assistant at a nursery school. Garfield was raised in Surrey, England and was a gymnast during his early years. He attended the City of London Freemen’s School in Ashtead, before training at the Central School of Speech and Drama, from which he graduated in 2004. Biography from www.andrewgarfield.net He is pretty dreamy

  5. I have a lot of celebrity crushes. But the ones that I would actually date and have a slight obsession over are Jesse Eisenberg, Andy Samberg, Emile Hirsch, James Franco, Joseph Gorden-Levitt, Lucas Haas, and Ben Whishaw. Special recognition; The Joker I hate the fact that he's a movie character!!
  6. ^At least you didn't say "not" lol. Hot. Daniel Day-Lewis?
  7. Hot. Jesse Eisenberg?

I'm not sure if there's already a topic about him but I'm too lazy to search through 27 pages lol. Anyways, Jesse Eisenberg was born October 5th, 1983 in New York City. One of his first films was "The Emperor's Club" with Emile Hirsch and Kevin Kline. I saw the movie, wasn't a big fan but it still showed how great of an actor Jesse is and he was in it more than I thought he would be. His breakthrough role was in "The Squid and the Whale" with Jeff Daniels and Laura Linney back in 2005. It pretty much put him on the map. He was also in "Zombieland" with Woody Harrelson, Abigail Breslin and Emma Stone. The movie was a big success and personally one of my favorite movies. I mean come on, zombies!!! But, of course, everyone knows him from "The Social Network", playing the narcissistic Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. Want to know something funny? Jesse Eisenberg plays him in the film, Andy Samberg plays him on SNL and he is just Mark Zuckerberg. I find it funny and cutely ironic. I also find Jesse to be incredibly good looking. His eyes, lips, cute little nose and his hair *swoon*. He's also a devoted cat lover, how cute :3 Anyways, TSN gave him his first Oscar nomination. I got teary eyed when I found out he was nominated, I was SO happy for him! He didn't win but I am pretty confident he will be back someday and win. Also, I hate when people say he played himself "The Social Network" (or any of his other films). No. He. Did. Not. In real life, he is not a narcissistic backstabbing douche bag who betrays his best friend. Yeah, he talks fast and is a tad awkward, but that is pretty much how Mark Zuckerberg is. Mark was a nerd. He really studied the role and even though every aspect of Mark he didn't portray, he still embodied him. He even took lessons and classes Mark did. I hate when people compare him to guys like Michael Cera. The only similarity; awkwardness. Which many people have. I'm sorry, but you don't get an Oscar nomination for playing yourself. Just saying.

When the movie started winning all of the awards, I got really mad. I was like "why is this movie getting so many awards? It doesn't look good!" Then, I saw it. I was really shocked, because it IS an amazing film. It deserved, at least for the most part, the awards and critical acclaim it was getting. The performances were great, and the little kids did SO well! They were adorable. The directing was incredible and I loved the heartwarming message it gives; that anything is possible. Even if you are poor and with nothing to lose, you can still succeed.

No love on this forum for "Toy Story 3"? I LOVED it! I grew up on Toy Story and the third one was just gah, amazing! I cried at the end. I can't explain myself well right now, but I just loved it. The second one is still my favorite, though. The new directors and I believe new writers worked on it as well, did justice to the original concept of the story.

This is definitely one of my favorite films ever. Christopher Nolan is a GENIUS. He makes these complex, confusing yet amazing, captivating and epic films. The acting, plot, characters, special effects, everything about this movie. I loved the movie... I even cried! I have to admit, though, the first time I saw it, the ending confusing the heck out of me. My mind was blown. I left the theater thinking "what the fuck?" But that's what's so great about the movie, it leaves you thinking about it and you have to go through every concept of it. I love endings like that!

This is just my opinion, but I didn't think "Avatar" was as great as everyone thinks it is. Everything, except the special effects of course, was just good. The overall message was great, though. I don't know how to explain myself, I just didn't enjoy watching the film all that much. It actually bored me.
  18. I have seen so many movies... I bolded the ones I cried/cry most at. Titanic (I bawl. Every. Single. Time.) The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (I was literally crying for over a half hour after watching it) Saving Private Ryan Flight 93 United 93 Brokeback Mountain The Pianist Stand by Me Charlotte's Web Schindler's List What's Eating Gilbert Grape Million Dollar Baby Steel Magnolias Hotel Rwanda Boys Don't Cry Crash Pearl Harbor Atonement La Vie en Rose Finding Neverland Into the Wild Letters from Iwo Jiwa All Quiet on the Western Front I am Sam Radio Raise your Voice A Walk to Remember Beaches Changeling The Kite Runner Mystic River The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Selena The Mist (Same as "Boy in striped pajamas") Juno Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Tuck Everlasting Big Fish The Wrestler Candy Brothers Toy Story 3 I know there are tons more, I just can't think of anymore. I'm such a baby when it comes to films. And I will probably be editing this a lot lol.

Gahhh, she is SO beautiful! Her cat eyes, cute nose, full pouty lips, her hair, figure... everything! She is also extremely talented. She is the full package. I thought she was amazing in "Girl, Interrupted". If you haven't seen the movie, you should. She completely embodied that character. She was terrifying, being able to do what she did. She was badass and sexy in "Tomb Raider" and "Mr. and Mrs. Smith". Her performance in "Changeling" is probably my favorite, though. I cried at some of the parts, being very convincing. I believe she deserved the Oscar, and Kate Winslet should have won for "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and/or "Little Children". But anyways, I love her. I don't care that people think she's the 'other woman', her and Brad Pitt are great together and great parents. I love Angelina, she is one of my favorite actresses ever and one of my idols. Her work for the U.N. and UNICEF make her inspiring. I long to be like her.
  21. Hiii vintagecoffee!! I totally agree with you. Some people say "oh titanic is a chick flick" when a mojority of guys saw the movie and loved it even though it was romantic, parts of it were kinda scary, and exciting, and suspensful. I couldn't agree with you more! He is defiently one of the best actors ever!

I was given the 'weird' badge, but I think everybody's weird and that’s the key to it. We should celebrate our individuality, not be embarrassed or ashamed of it. We all have idiosyncrasies, tics that are obsessive-compulsive. People do themselves a great disservice by not allowing themselves to see who they really are because they are afraid. -Johnny Depp Just thought I should share

Johnny Depp, ever since I can remember, has been my favorite actor and of all time. When I was little, I watched "Sleepy Hollow", though it scared the hell out of me and I didn't see it for seven years after the first time I saw it. I was only 6 so I wasn't gushing over him or anything. But once I saw the first "Pirates" movie, I was hooked. I remember seeing "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" in IMAX and I started googling him after that and I fell in love. I have seen almost all of his movies, my favorite one is probably "Edward Scissorhands", his performance was heartbreaking and he was adorable. I believe he deserved the Oscar for "Finding Neverland", it's one of my favorite movies and he was incredible! "Sweeney Todd" is one of my favorite movies EVER, so are a lot of his other movies. He doesn't give a fuck what anyone thinks, he is funny, has great style and is very down to earth and extremely good looking. Even my mom thinks he's gorgeous, and we differ a lot on celebrity people. His attitude and talent make people who think he's "just another pretty face" think twice. I can't get over how amazing he truly is. I think I'm just gushing here. He is also a great father, whenever he talks about his kids you can just tell he's a great parent and loves his kids more than anything. He's a family man, which makes him even more attractive. His girlfriend is the luckiest girl in the world in my opinion. Anyway, He HAS talent... THREE Oscar nominations! And one day, he will win one. I hope soon, too.
  25. Leo has always been one of my favorite actors. I love him. The first movie I ever saw of his was "Titanic", even though I was four and it was one of the first movies I had ever seen in theaters and I can't even remember seeing it then, being I was so young, I still take pride in having seeing it. I have seen almost all of his movies and he does an amazing job in all of them, no matter what. I truly thought he deserved the Oscar for "The Aviator", he completely embodied the character. He isn't amazing just because of his looks, he IS talented. He has THREE Oscar nominations and even though he hasn't won, yet, he has still been nominated and that says something. I was reading some of the replies from when this topic was first up and I don't think "Titanic" made him underrated at all. In fact, it made him an even bigger star. That film did make over a $1 billion. Even though he wasn't nominated for lead actor, he was nominated for the Golden Globe. The film won 11 Oscars (not 12). A chick flick does NOT win 11 Oscars! And Kate Winslet was nominated for Best Leading Actress for the Oscar. Leonardo is one of the greatest actors ever in my opinion.
