i think that the reception he got before the match was a bit over the top. that's the type of thing a club does when a legendary player retires not when they break a club record. . . . shame that he's going to barcelona though the penalty really comical. pires was gonna do a little pass and henry run in and hit it but it went wrong 'cos pires just grazed the ball with his studs, thus putting the ball in play and he therefore wasn't allowed to touch the ball. 'cos he couldn't touch the ball, all the man city players streamed in and nicked the ball off of him. as the radio said 'truly the worst penalty ever'.
