Ronaldo's Turkish temptation Milan have rejected a £7m bid for Ronaldo from Fenerbahce and will do the same for Real Madrid’s £54m Kaka swoop. The Rossoneri are champions of Europe and can afford to keep their top stars, so this summer Vice-President Adriano Galliani has turned down all comers. Ronaldo only joined the club in January from Real for around £5.7m, but from next season will also be available for the Champions League. According to Spanish newspaper ‘As,’ Fenerbahce have offered £7m to take Il Fenomeno to Turkey and a three-year contract worth an impressive £4.7m net. He would be reunited with fellow Brazilian and ex-Real Madrid and Inter teammate Roberto Carlos, but Milan have already rejected the proposal. In fact, talks are already on to extend Ronie’s Rossoneri contract until June 30, 2009. Galliani is also standing firm against the latest record-breaking Real Madrid attempt to lure Kaka towards Spain. The Bernabeu club met with his representatives this week, as confirmed by Milan, but he is not for sale. The latest reports from ‘Marca’ suggest the offer has increased to a staggering £54m plus a contract worth £8m per season and with the total image rights handed to the Brazilian.

AC Milan: Kaka going nowhere Milan have confirmed that Real Madrid did hold talks with Kaka’s entourage this week – but again underlined that he’s not for sale! Real officials met with the player’s father and representative on Tuesday to discuss a £53m transfer which fuelled speculation that a move could be on the horizon. However, the European champions have assured fans that the Spanish giants will not be netting the Brazilian. “We were informed of the meeting by Kaka’s father and [agent] Gaetano Paolillo, but we confirm that he is untransferable,” said Vice-President Adriano Galliani to the club’s website. “Kaka is certainly not for sale, but the notable financial offer is possible because of the different fiscal system in Spain which favours the Liga clubs. “In practice, if an Italian and a Spanish side make the same offer, in Italy only 50 per cent ends up in the player’s pocket, while in Spain his net pay amounts to 75 per cent of the total amount.” Galliani had already voiced his concern that Italian clubs would find it hard to compete with their Spanish counterparts for such reasons. “If things continue this way I fear that in a few years’ time Italian football will not be able to keep pace with the top clubs in Europe,” he noted in the autumn.
