8/7 Things heating up... Russians broke into fortress Niu-York and clear rows of trenches- the defenses are crumbling. At the same time, Ukraine launched an armored offensive over the border in Kursk and captured some Russian border guards, with more forces being inserted as the battle develops. So far the border guards appear to be overwhelmed and a real battle is developing. In terms of terrain, this is the most successful Ukraine-NATO attack in over a year and it appears to be mainly for propaganda purposes and diverting Russian attention. The Ukrainian attack troops are equipped with US armored vehicles. A lot of footage appeared that claim that the Russians are strafing columns with airstrikes, helicopter gunships, lancet drones, and missile strikes. 1 Ukrainian Soviet BUK AA destroyed, 1 Russian KA-52 gunship shot down.

I ate a buttered 20 oz steak today, very good. Also last week I ate at the 'best fast food hamburger' joint Shake Shack: two grilled to crispy patties w/ fried pickles, bacon, spicy cheese, bbq sauce- very good and fresh (9/10). I wish more places had fried pickles. The only issue is that I barely tasted any beef and I don't think the patties had strong enough beef flavor. The texture of the patties were good though. The add-ons had so much flavor that they overwhelmed the beef. The burgers I make at home have 3 times stronger beef flavor. This burger cost $13 by itself with tax and has about 950 calories, which is a meal by itself. This makes this 'fast food' burger the same price as burgers in restaurants. I would rate the burger on par with steakhouse burgers except for the quality of the patties.

I really wonder how long they can keep this up..., and prevent quality declines They messed up the ending of Game of Thrones (especially the final 2 seasons, although others spot the decline since Season 5) This really sours the whole franchise. Overall S2 of HOD is considered less good and padded than the great S1. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms/Tales of Dunk & Egg are fully written short stories that are decent but not Martin's best material. So I think the show should be good. But the rest of the content is not prose but history bullets like what they used for HOD.

@Enrico_sw There are a lot of news that France is failing to feed the athletes properly, is this exaggerated in your opinion? I noticed that news claim that there is emphasis on the desire to make the diets more leftist 'vegan friendly, lower carbon emissions, etc. but this could be an exaggeration that triggers the usual response. Certainly it is absurd for athletes competing for the gold to be focused on such details.

This animator did a great job- I would say it's better than any of the content in Alien: Covenant and is along the lines of what is in the upcoming Alien film. In looking at the new Alien film trailer it is apparent to me that it is massively influenced by the greatest Alien Game (Alien: Isolation). The sets, everything looks like its directly ported from that world.

I saw Series 54. The photos with the straw hat ruined what were otherwise good pictures- the rest are decent and Natalie is in good shape (also very tanned)
