I am looking at the reviews for the Witcher novels and it's interesting to see that there are some (typically young) females thinking that the books are too 'male centric' and misogynist. A lot of them mention the Netflix show.
Yet there are many, and more women that love the books.

It goes to show why the Netflix showrunners had to 'change' the story.
There is some sort of cultural/generational gap going on. To me the books' approach to women were 1990s-era feminist and just the right balance for me. But for this era's feminists the books are too weak in feminism and some even say that it is misogynist.
