Some are saying that many could have nominated him just by the buzz he was getting and by the trailer. But not actually seeing it. But I figure a good chunk would have seen it because of all the screenings Leo went to. And even if not, doesn't really matter because he's nominated now. Sure late releases suffer with SAG.... Christoph waltz never got nominated for Django, Leo never got nominated for wolf ,etc but that's not the case with Leo. Apparently a smaller number of people nominate whereas a much larger group actually vote for winners, but I don't know if that matter. Sure SAG voters can allegedly have started picking their winners back in mid December but, if they are professionals they'd wait until they've seen all the films what's the rush.... Isn't ballots due Jan 29?? Plus The Revenant is not some small indie film it's always been a talked about film, so it's highly likely these people will actively go out to watch it even if they didn't get an actual screening. But I don't know the details of the SAG process, could be something I'm missing or getting wrong. in regards to Tom Oneil, he's been predicting Leo to win for as long as I can remember but it's true that they are not really picking who they want to see win they are just picking who they think the Academy or whoever will vote for. Some even think that's what the critics choice do too that they pick who they think the Academy Will pick so that their show appears more credible, so they are taken seriously people will watch their show celebs will attend that kind of thing. Is that actually tre, I don't know. But when it comes to Oneil's credibility he appears pretty well connected and smart when it comes to the process of award season and people seem to take him seriously. He claimed that after Eddie won Eddie gave him a call thanking him. But if it's true that he has something against Leo like you said, (I never heard him say anything bad about Leo but again I don't listen to everything he says) then hopefully he's the minority and doesn't represent the kind of people who are actually apart of SAG. I'll keep the faith that the majority of voters will do the right thing Everything has been going VERY well so far so I pray things continue to go smoothly and go the way we want but on another note...... The whole "diversity" thing is really taking over award season. It's a major thing and all anyone is really talking about. Not just diversity but the general snubs too. Everything seems to be about who didn't get nominated as opposed to who actually got nominated. The academy is certainly getting a TON of backlash. It's an awkward time for the people nominated, academy, just feels like an awkward environment for everyone right now edit I see the Academy have adopted a way to help solve the diversity issue. So hopefully the controversy can fade out a bit for the rest of award season

I didn't listen to it myself, but I hope it is a non issue.

Silviti, yeah all I want to hear about is stuff related to his work life right now, the good box office and all that kind of stuff that's the stuff that should be dominating headlines in my ideal world. I'd rather there be none of this tabloid type stuff right now when people should be focusing on his work and his great career. He's a serious actor first and a celebrity second.Thankfully there's lots of good stuff going on and not just the pointless stuff and lies. But when it comes to public image, sure some people get turned off, but he's not known as some bad boy or a jerk. He watches what he says, so he doesn't say anything controversial for the most part. So in that regard I'd say his image isn't all that bad actually.

That crossed my mind too. Anyways, I wish the media would just focus on his film and all the talk to be about his performance and the fact that he's nominated for an Oscar and his chances for that. I'm not really interested in them talking about this tabloid stuff during award season

Brie Larson wasn't there and she won. So both best actress and best actor won't be there. And yes I think Leo will win

I know it's important but I'm saying it's not as important as SAG. Leo already has the Globe, if he wins SAG he's in a better position than if someone just wins Critics. Plus SAG etc are in the industry just like the Academy while Critics are not. Plus the industry had been kinder to the film, I value them more. So he can lose critics but still be the front runner for right now. But obviously if he wins critics he's in a better position than if he didn't. I find it likely he'll be the winner. If he loses that'll be a surprise because I'm expecting him to win this award this will be the first time he'll be going directly against Damon. Globes they were in different categories. He won't be against Damon in SAG because Damon is not nominated. So if Leo wins this he would have beaten all of his fellow Oscar nominees in these precursors so far.

i swear they better give this award to Leo! Even if this award show is not as important as the others I want Leo to sweep and I want no other actor to have opportunity to build momentum.

I read Kate Winslet is in London at the London Film critics awards, so if she's there she can't be at the Critics awards either. I wonder how far in advance they knew they weren't attending. Hopefully who they choose as winners has nothing to do with who shows up or not. I know Bryan Cranston will be there because he's the only film nominee (across all categories) presenting an award today. But I don't know if all the other nominees will be there too

^ he's in Paris because there's a The Revenant premiere tomorrow. I don't see him in the vid or in those pics. Rihanna's presence Isn't important, it's a big party. And Leo goes to all the big events whenever he's in a city

Critics Choice awards are tommorrow, so I would guess he's going to the United States now Unless he plans on giving a videotaped acceptance speech if he wins, but I hope to see him there in person. Extremely busy he is, I know.

Central Ohio Film critics announced their nominations Best Actor -Matt Damon, The Martian -Johnny Depp, Black Mass -Leonardo DiCaprio, The Revenant -Michael Fassbender, Steve Jobs -Jacob Tremblay, Room in regards to the other Revenant stuff.... The Revenant got BP nom, Hardy got SA, Alejandro got BD and the film got nominated for Best Editing and Best Cinematography National Society of Film Critics announced their winners and Michael B Jordan won Best Actor.

Sabina mentioned that last night was her last night in St Barts. Im actually looking forward to him coming back and continuing where he left off Also now she has a vid of herself on what looks like a plane with Reza and co, so i believe Leo is with them. As i dont think he'd leave without Reza because hes a friend but he also serves as a bodyguard.

I think he will stay single, he's really busy now. But I feel that probably by the summer he'll have a new girlfriend.

Haha, yeah. And some of them don't have Michael Fassbender and Eddie Redmayne on their list either. So I guess they are trying to be bold and unpredictable with their pics. Like I stated in my post, I do think he will be nominated.

I've actually not noticed this, but its probably because im not reading the articles. I was just referring to movie enthusiasts on other forums especially Goldderby. And I was taken aback by what they were saying. But the most important thing is what the voters who vote for the awards think. I love this forum but sometimes I don't see things posted on here and that's why when I go elsewhere I get surprised, if I see a negative article or something. That's all welcome Lakemeader

Also Sabina wrote on her snap chat that this is her last night in St Barts, so I take it that means the same for Leo. So to me that means they'll be leaving Sunday morning or afternoon, or they left Saturday night. id say the reason Madison is there is because she's dating Leo's friends brother. Helly Nahmad's brother. Valentina is very good friends with Madison. Helly is best friends with Richie Akiva....which explains the instagram pic of Valentina sitting at a restaurant beside Helly, his brother and Richie. Jessica Strother is friends with Elsie Hewitt, who is dating Leo's friend Jonnah Johnson...but Elsie is not in St Bart's in her snapchat.....today she posted a vid from Leo's house. Shes always at his house, it doesnt matter if leo is there or not...so i think Jonah lives in leo'S Hollywood hills house. Then of course last year leo was seen with Denise and Taylor alot.. Elsie is best friends with those two. Cassie Amato was pictured hanging with Andrei and co in 2014. Basically Leo has a connection to all these models through friends By the way just learned that Elsie is 19, she wrote that this was her last year as a teenager. She's the sane age as Milano who of course is Jonah'S son. Luckily I don't think Leo will date a girl that young. He may hang with them through friends but those kinds of models he doesn't date. He seems to either go for SI models or VS. The only one that seems that Leo would be interested in would be Valentina, there's a different vibe to her....plus at 33 she still seems in party mode. plus the fact that her good friend Madison is only 22 has me thinking she's younger at heart. So I don't think she's too mature for Leo in that sense. But again they have mutual friends in common so it could just be a hanging with friends thing and that's it. Although I wouldn't mind if he got with her, but if they wanted to get together i think they would have already so i kinda doubt they will. Also I look at Leo's friends girlfriends..... Sabina and Nikki both in their early thirties but they have this young vibe to them. I can see him dating a woman in her early thirties that act like Kevin and Chuck'S women. Now with Lukas and Vinny they are different. With Kevin we see him with actual girlfriends he vactions wit etc. Same with leo. But lukas and Vinny never have that. Whenever there's couples vacations it's always Vinny and especially lukas just hanging around without girlfriends. There was Saule with lukas for the first time in a long while but she never traveled with leo and friends on vacations.... and she's been overseas for many many months now, lukas never goes to her yet he haS time to go with leo everywhere. All the vacations.... the Asia trip and the Europe trip a couple weeks ago. So I can't envisioning them being an actual couple. Then Vinny seemed to be with someone for the first time in a long while. ...Mina but she's never been seen with the crew and she and Vinny do their separate thing. I know because I follow her on social media. Basically it seemed like they just hung out when they were both in NY when Vinny was filming shades of Blue and thats all there was to that alleged relationship. So those two (Vinny and Lukas) oh and Reza Roohhi too have always confused me, I see leo as more like them as opposed to Tobey, Ethan etc. I think this wolf mentality prevents them from wanting to have their own relationships. Oh and I sometimes wonder about Richie too
