She reminds me of a Seinfeld episode. Jerry was dating this girl who looked spectacular in some lighting and just OK in others. I feel the same way about Emmanuelle for some reason.

Accent wise if you aren't paying really close attention, mine is "Generic American." I lack a distinct regional accent because my family moved around so much. Did pick up some local colloquialisms that people could pick up on, though. I could be anywhere in America or Canada and my accent wouldn't really "stand out" too much. I have to go abroad!

It's a holdover from the Spanish-American War. Here's the link. Basically we got it in return for helping the Cubans win their independence from Spain. It wasn't an entirely unselfish act, as through the course of the war the United States ended up taking several of Spain's colonies, such as the Philippines, Puerto Rico, and Guam.

Isn't "sexy" really supposed to be about attraction to the opposite sex? Or if one feels attractive to the opposite sex? I thought the term for "fashion sexy" was "glamorous." No (straight) guy turns to another, commenting on a girl, and says, "Boy, she really looks glamorous." That's how I understand it, anyway.

I don't hate her.. but I don't see the appeal of her WHATSOEVER! Most plain woman ever! She looked amazing in Batman Forever, IMHO. Hm, who am I sick of... Lohan.

The Star Wars geeks like me enjoyed the scene after this, where he goes into the bar. It's exactly like the "Cantina scene" in the first Star Wars, even the music is the same...except reversed. As far as implants... I look at them - in the case of models - as reasonable. I mean, in the case of VS models, modeling lingerie is their job. Heck, in that case the implants are probably tax-deductable.

The Speaker of the House does indeed have power, but it's almost entirely domestic. Her hands are also tied because of the thin majority in the senate, the ability of the legislature under her leadership to push anything significant through is undermined by a strong Republican minority in the upper house. As Speaker, the power to choose which bills come to vote in the House is hers, so her power to effectively limit Republican legislation is unquestioned. World power, though? US law forbids her from engaging in foreign affairs, as that is the chief domain of the executive branch and the President (and his representatives). Her visit to the Middle East was controversial, and in many ways illegal, but didn't seem to anger too many people. If she tried anything really substantial without the approval of the White House, she could be in trouble.
