  1. princess: I'am not scolding you, I just don't want to see you disappointed. Honestly I'am repeating this whole statement I wrote to you for myself because I really don't want to get upset again if things don't happen as we wish. I know it's almost impossible to don't get angry but I'am trying hard to get my expectations not that big.
  2. Loved your avi, fash. Hey Pami. As for Brad, I think he's good but not great or even close to Leo's talent and no way he's material for awards competition. When I see his movies, I always think his co-stars are much better than him, he never stole the scene in his movies, he's just bla to me. And Leo for example, even that he don't do this in purpose but he's always drawn the attention when he's on a scene naturally just with the power of his talent and this for me is the big difference among phenomenal actors and normal actors.
  3. LOL, Pami: I agree: and to me he only has one expression in all his movies... you always make me laugh, girl.

here have different pics from new Passionata campaign: http://celebs.walla.co.il/?w=/3601/1882368
  5. Sorry Kat, but my expectations are much higher. I want him to WIN, Period! Unlike the other contenders, with they only mentioned as a problem the mixed reviews of the film... and what about it? Many actors have won with mediocre films. Don't you notice that at no time they mention something about PERFORMANCES God! I get very ANGRY when these awards are set only if the actor have charisma or the producer makes more publicity or if the movie has good reviews and give a sh*t about the acting! :anger: Which is what they are supposed to be...ACTING AWARDS!!!!! These awards are just a big fraud! I know exactly how you feel princess. But let's not forget that Leo was snubbed so many times and could have won at least 1 Oscar so I think that even we get too excited about the reviews always pointing his amazing performance, we should get prepared to the worst because than we don't get TOO MUCH disappointed. I wish with ALL MY HEART that Leo gets nominated and win but this is something totally out of our control, I think the best for us is stay calm and wait to see what happens, hopefully the best for Leo. I can't say I will not become angry if he didn't get nominated because I would be lying, but still think it's better for us to calm down, if not we get stressed before things in fact happen.
  6. where is everyone? lola I see you are here, come in girl.
  7. Thanks for the opinion kat, yeah, hopefully he will be AT LEAST nominated. Waiting for great news next week.
  8. Very intereting article, it seems from what I understand the Source: The Periscope Post is making an analysis from what others critics said on their reviews about J.Edgar, most of them have good things to say but also point some negative things, as for Leo: as always praise him again by his performance. Eastwood’s personal political biopic is sure to win DiCaprio an Oscar December 9, 2011 Author: Roberta Categories: Articles, Career, Films, Reviews 18 Comments Arguably Clint Eastwood’s most challenging subject matter, J. Edgar is a personal and political portrait of the ruthless yet enigmatic former FBI director. Director Clint Eastwood’s latest endeavour, J. Edgar, is an ambitious portrait of one of American history’s most conflicted figures, FBI head J. Edgar Hoover. Critics, unanimous in their praise for Leonardo DiCaprio’s turn as the enigmatic Hoover and the film’s visuals, are divided over Eastwood’s handling of the subject matter. The film charts Hoover’s autocratic five-decade directorship of the FBI and attempts to tease out the story of his much speculated over private life. The biopic deals with the sensational aspects of Hoover’s nefarious ways – blackmailing presidents and recording Martin Luther King Jr.’s encounters with a mistress – but Clintwood is also praised for his light touch when dealing with Hoover’s sexuality. However, with such challenging subject material, critics are judging the film on what it does and doesn’t choose to say. Internal conflict. According to David Denby of The New Yorker, J. Edgar if anything, is a “portrait of the soul”. He praised Eastwood’s treatment of Hoover as “a compound of intelligence, repression and misery” and for capturing “the destructive effects of self-denial [in] withering detail”; he commended Clintwood’s decision to use prosthetics to age DiCaprio, which have the effect of enhancing the feeling of how a “young man” will “coarsen” with “years and power.” The film is a “remarkable but not altogether surprising turn” in Eastwood’s career. A balanced film. Todd McCarthy of The Hollywood Reporter, praises Clintwood and Dustin Lance Black’s (the Oscar-winning screenwriter of Milk) “surprising collaboration” for tackling the film’s “trickiest challenges with plausibility and good sense, while serving up a simmeringly caustic view of its controversial subject’s behavior, public and private.” Roger Ebert, of the Chicago Sun Times, also respected Eastwood’s “refusal to cheapen and tarnish by inventing salacious scenes.” DiCaprio steals the show. Lou Lumenick of the New York Post gushes over DiCaprio’s “daring and astonishing” performance and is confident of DiCaprio’s Best Actor Oscar for his “tour de force” of a performance. But though Armie Hammer’s (The Social Network) portrayal of Clyde Tolson, Edgar’s right-hand man, is praised as subtle, the rest of the cast fail to stand out. Todd McCarthy of The Hollywood Reporter claimed Naomi Watts as Helen Gandy, Edgar’s long-term personal secretary, has “little opportunity to express much beyond dogged loyalty” and Judi Dench, who plays Edgar’s mother, is similarly “limited” as a domineering “mother hen.” Stellar visuals. Critics are unanimous in their praise for Tom Stern’s cinematography. Denby at The New Yorker admires the “dark-toned”, “heavily shadowed” scenes as “redolent of the past”. Roger Ebert, at the Chicago Sun Times, also applauded the “masterful” ease with which Eastwood spans seven decades and praises the “sets, the props, the clothes, and details” as “effortlessly right”. Missed opportunities. James Rocchi of Box Office Magazine feels Eastwood and Dustin Lance Black’s script fails to present “a serious and artistic examination of the role of law and intelligence in America, of the toxic nature of secrets, or of how desperate times demand desperate measures—and make public servants into desperate (and dangerous) men.” Instead “what you feel leaking off the screen in every scene is missed opportunity”. He dismisses the film as “stiff, jerky, mechanical, fake.” thanks to leonardodicapriofan.com for the find.

  13. hey look that Romenian press is still talking about Leo and Madalina, from what I could understand they guess by what she wrote on her facebook: she's tired and needs a break, so immediately the press said she's going to Australia to see him. For me looks like BS, but let's wait and see if she appears on his balcony again... the article, google translator: http://translate.google.com.br/translate?s...da-iubitul.html
  14. yeah, fash. I also see that Hugo is having very good reviews and I'am happy for Marty and as I know and I saw the trailer it seems really a great movie. But is natural that here and than they will not work together, still probably Scorsese's next project will be with Leo. I think Martin is such an adorable person and I remember when he won the Oscar he seemed so nervous and I found so cute how he said thank you like some 20 times. I really love this interview of them, so nice, they really seem to get along VERY WELL, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiwBcSWoeTc
