Gisele was already famous when VS contracted her. They contracted her exactly because she was the IT girl of the moment, loved and embraced by HF world. I think it´s more of the agency´s decision that the models´. E.g. Daria Werbowy, VS wanted her but her agency said no. I think there are many negotiations, considering pros and cons of such decision, especially when it comes to famous models that VS would like to work with.
