I'm not sure I agree with all of those... Miranda had already been working with VS for what, 2 years before she got with Orlando? I'm assuming you're referring to Adam with Behati, who I think is largely irrelevant in terms of her VS work as she was already a well established Angel (yeah ok if she gets the FB we can probably attribute some of that to her now being Mrs Levine) but she was with Jamie Strachan when she first started working with VS, and he's not such a huge deal that a model could get such a big job off the back of being his girlfriend, and with Barbara, I'd agree with you if they'd only used her in the show but they put her in the holiday commercial as well which seems like too big a deal to be just about that. Admittedly I don't really know what happened after that to make them drop her again... Anyway, we've kind of gone off on a tangent here, haven't we? I've been trying to think of possible themes for this year... aside from the whole 50 shades thing it's hard to think of a theme that hasn't been used in some way shape or form already. I'd like to see a sort of 60's/festival theme, girls with flowers in their hair, bit of tie dye and distressed denim- I don't think they've done that yet have they? Keyword: part. And I'm gonna drop this because no matter what I say, epople are gonna be pissed at Kendall for no other reason than being pissed at her sister for being famous for being famous. But when you really think about it, none of these girl ever earned a job for any other reason than looking pretty fitting a certain aesthetics or being somewhat of a draw when it comes to press or having connections, which doesn't really make them that much more worthy of anything than Kendall.

Cara's family helped to get to where she is. And even if Kendall didn't do most of the hustle herself, I personally think it's quite impressive that Kim Kardashian went from a girl that was only known as Paris Hilton's stylist and the sister of Brandy's boyfriend to a media powerhouse simply by the power of famewhoring. So while Kendall maybe didn't work hard to get there, her family sure did.

Let me make one thing clear for you: Heidi, Miranda, Behati, Anne V, Shanina and Lily all got part of their VS work because of their boyfriends. Stephanie, Karen, Tyra, Gisele, Karolina, Doutzen, Chanel, Karlie and Cara were poached because of their HF fame. Miranda, Alessandra are pap whores. Barbara P got hired by VS to flirt with the Biebs. If you want to find reason why any of the VS models are "undeserving", you will but let's face it, VS will flock towards whatever will give them press and Kendall fits right in.

It's modelling, not rocket science. Every girl in that book got there because of looks and connections, Kendall is no different.

An Arab them would fly more easily than say Asian, Jewish or Native because those people are not as represented media wise (plus they're not really viewed as victims in nowadays America, especially today, ahem). I think the main issues for people are religion and the place of women in society (and gays, but that won't be an issue there, will it?). People get upset when they think A) that people are making fun of there beliefs/take them too lightly (see the headdress) or B) are degrading (their) women (see Katy Perry dressing up as a geisha). There's also the weird issue that aside from white people (which is why Spanish, Franch, Brith and Russian segments went over well), only people from a certain culture can portray their culture because no one really gets what blackface was or was about. So if they manage to pull of an Arab theme with Arab-adjacent models with nothing close to a hijab/niaqab/burqa, then they might just pull it off.
