How do SI ppl get access to this thread? Isn't it only for super active members?

If I had to describe this cover in three words, it would be: tacky, forgettable, lifeless. I like Hannah, but at the end of the day, no one is gonna remember this cover. She's just another lifeless white blonde with a famous BF, and the over-photoshopping is not helping. She doesn't ooze sex appeal and charisma the way Kate Upton does. Even the trio cover last year had charisma; it was fun, carefree, sexy, and different. I don't blame Hannah for the photo, but to me it comes across as super thirsty on SI's part. It feels like they know that Hannah isn't good enough (in terms of recognition and fame) so they just picked the most revealing shot to draw people in. It's actually a little offensive to her. The focus should be on the MODEL, not on how much skin she is showing. When I look at covers of Kate, I notice her whole persona first. Same with Marisa and Bar. Yes they show tons of skin, but there is an element of power and control in the cover and the model. In Hannah's case it's just pussy and boobs. That's why it feels tacky. Honestly, this whole issue feels a bit like a 'throwaway' issue compared to the insanely good rookie class we had last year and the cool, different, booty-centric trio cover with Nina, Chrissy, and Lily, and well as Kate the Great. That was memorable. I wish Emrata got the cover because I think it would have come out more exotic looking; I like that she has a different face from the typical SI girl and is brunette. I also think she's a better model. She manages to look super sexy while still in control and powerful. Gigi, while in the typically white blonde SI mold, manages to look different because she is good at posing and giving face. Honestly wish it was either of them. A Nina solo cover would have been great too.

Mama is looking good! She looks younger when she gains a little weight. Although for me personally, I find Adriana exponentially more beautiful in person. Pictures NEVER do her justice.

I totally agree that the commercial should have been just Adriana. It would have been more memorable. The image stuck in my head is the last close-up of her boobies.

Elsa does not look happy lol. I agree with someone who said that she doesn't like 'sharing' the spotlight. Then again, she was the main PINK model so she was probably used to all the solo shoots and events. Now she's thrown in with the big girls. Who is the girl next to Elsa? (white tall brunette)

Exactly what I was thinking. That candid of Adriana is amazing!!! Blew all the other girls out of the water (hahaha...) I like the idea of the back cover with all the models, but they should have casted more carefully. All the girls blend together (see US Vogue September 2014). They should have selected the strongest girls facially. Elsa, Sara, Adriana, Candice, Lais, Lily, Nadine, Jasmine, Jac, Andreea, would have all looked amazing together.

I don't get the Stella love either. She's hot and all but she doesn't have the personality for it. In fact, none of the 'new girls' really have it all to be an angel. Jac is cute but lacks personality, Josephine is rather bland in looks and personality, Jasmine is fucking stunning but has a horrible personality, and Martha will always be in Candice's shadow. I think Gigi would make a great angel in the future. She has a good public persona, photographs well, has an amazing body for lingerie/swim, and seems like a genuinely good person. And she's American, which VS loves. Her career right now is rising very quickly; it would be best for VS to get her before she becomes to big for them (like Joan, Jourdan, Emily D etc)

If Doutzen is on such good terms, I truly hope she still walks the show every year (like Izabel). I love seeing her and she's always a stand out for me. Plus she's very close with many (if not ALL) of the current angels, so I'm sure it wouldn't be an awkward atmosphere (like it would be if Miranda came back).

I agree with this. I truly can't see Karlie staying with VS beyond a standard 3-year period. She has a lot going for her outside of VS, and I highly doubt her agents/managers will want her tied to the brand for so long. I don't see VS offering her a lucrative amount of $$$ to stay, considering they barely use her compared to their other 'golden girls' (Lily, Candice, Behati). If Candice leaves, I could see her career slowing down A LOT. To be honest, she seems totally over it and just wants to move to Brazil and become a beach bum. VS definitely allows her to live a comfortable life making a lot of $$$, so I doubt she'll be proactive towards leaving. She'll probably go the Erin Heatherton/Izabel Goulart route and work with mostly commercial brands with occasional HF work. I feel the same way about Behati. Now that she's Mrs. Levine, if she leaves VS, she doesn't need to work her ass off in high fashion to make a living. She truly lucked out. She's a pretty average commercial model who got lucky with VS and then subsequently marrying a high profile musician. She can thank VS for her fabulous life tbh. If Lily leaves VS her career is pretty much dead too. She'll probably be like Miranda and just work with commercial brands. I wonder what Lindsay's career will be like. Very few former VS angels can completely rebound after leaving and have an amazing career. Rosie, Karolina, and Gisele (obvi haha) are the best examples. All the other pretty much fall off the radar and flop.

Greg Kadel's work is amazing!! The pictures look great and have a really professional, upmarket feel to them. Honestly giving SI a run for its money. Why bother buying SI when you can get a free VS catalogue?! haha jokes jokes... Adriana would have fit in flawlessly with this catalogue. The aesthetic is so her. Too bad. Behati is no where near as physically stunning as Candice is. Candice got shoved down our throats, but at least she had the looks to back it up. Behati is vanilla and I'd rather see her in smaller doses than an overload. I like it more when VS uses all their girls equally versus pushing one or two over the others.

Honestly, seeing those pics of Erin scared me because it just shows that these girls are NOT always naturally stick-thin and are truly depriving themselves of food. Just image how Erin was eating at her skinniest with VS (circa 2011). Models all like to say that they have an amazing metabolism and work out often, but they always seem to leave out that they barely eat... I wonder what the current VS angels would look like if they just let themselves go completely.

Taylor is seething somewhere. #thirsty I would normally feel bad for Taylor, but after the show, I just can't feel any sympathy for her at all. If she wasn't so thirsty for showing off her BFFs everywhere, this probably wouldn't be an issue. She's a public figure and has to realize that her actions will always seem exaggerated.

Jasmine is very very stunning physically, but her personality is just awfully flat. She's very materialistic and entitled too.

This may be far fetched, but Doutzen just liked all the pics of the VS stylists on Instagram of #somethingbigiscoming .... could mean that she's in and will shoot later? It would make sense to pair her with Adriana/Ale since they are the older generation of models and are usually put together. Also, where is Behati?! Did she only do solo shots?

It must be tough to make those type of decisions, considering there is so much unpredictability and emotion involved. VS has been part of her life for the past 7 years! I truly, truly hope that Doutzen is staying. I guess time will tell. She's very popular in Europe and it would be stupid for VS to lose their European base. VS doesn't have many stores in Europe, therefore I don't think they really care about having a "strong" European base. Even if they don't have many stores, it's still good for VS to be in the press over there. Also, European consumers are savvy and tend to travel abroad more than Americans do. For example, I'm from Brazil. Even though VS doesn't have stores in brazil (outside of airports I think?), having Ale and Adriana keeps VS in the Brazilian press. Thus consumers stay interested in the brand and will probably be more likely to buy VS when they go abroad. Many of my family members even make trips to the US solely for shopping! (I also don't get why VS does not have a store in Brazil, everyone loves VS there).
