  1. oh, you'll learn. long-term relationships are about two-way, and constantly learning how to keep things new and interesting. even if you're with a goddess, or she thinks you're a god, it will get old. period.
  2. they have gangsta rap in Vancouver?
  3. hey, it's not as easy for the guys that don't live in the southern US, you know. we have to look outside the family for girls. and come on, if you were dating Rogue, you wouldn't want to know that fabric softener was a major aphrodesiac? turned up collars only arouse for so long....

hoping those three days are going to be spent in MTL
  7. I didn't think it lived up to X2, but it's still a very enjoyable movie. if you like XMen at all, I don't see how you can't at least like it

nonono she was with Billy Zane, then she went out with Statham, but then she went back to Zane. I think she and Zane are engaged... but Statham keeps lamenting his loss
  9. I always get my aliens mixed up. or planetary gods. or something. but it's good to know that even on your planet(s), Monica is worshipped

oh no doubt about that! sanja rules! but Valenti sucks booty.
  14. well Mars was militant, and Venus was sensual. so I'm picturing a guy in S&M leather with a pink purse

no one is claiming that I'm not insane, are they?
  16. damn good start! (I agree with most of that) ok... I thought Kitty was fantastic. aside from the Paul Smith era, I think this was the best Kitty I've seen. skinny and cute without looking anorexic with oversized boobs. well-done teen angst, although I wanted to see some romance with Peter, but I understand that's a lot more story, so the Iceman/Rogue thing was good. I agree with some wasted characters, mostly Peter and Angel. Angel turned out to just be a plot device for the "cure", which is a cop-out. he's one of the best mutants there is, because he totally represents the original concept of a guy who's basically normal, but has this social lepresy he can't disguise for long, like being black in the 1960's. even better, he finds ways to hide his wings, but like the MLK movement, he really should be free to fly. plus, his understated power takes better writing in order to show off. they should have called the fast-ball special the "fast-ball special". I'm glad they chose the best plotline of all, the Dark Phoenix thing, but Magneto didn't play a part in that, but they still had to include him. they did a decent job of this, but there was still too much emphasis on Magneto, when it should have been stronger on Phoenix. but again, they did a good job, esp bridging it back to when both ProfX and Mags met her. I suppose they're going to leave the wheelchair origin to a ProfX or Mag spinoff. WTF happened to Nightcrawler? couldn't get the actor for the gig? did they kill him off in that videogame that just came out? his intro in X2 totally rocked. but maybe they needed Beast to do his stuff at the end? I wanted to see more of the students growing up, like Jubilee, and any of the "New Mutants". Cannonball would have been fun to watch. Rogue was mostly a waste, but I think she was set up as the pariah character that embodied the civil rights movement, so fine. I'm glad they didn't get into the whole alien thing with Ms Marvel or Binary. still, I would have liked to see her grab more powers, esp to mix some the most important thing in this movie, though, was the love/hate of Jean. I thought they did a lot of it well, but I just didn't really buy that Logan would die for her love. it just seemed like a feral attraction thing. and in all the Phoenix stories, it's always been love that's undone her (usually Cyke), so I needed to see more here. X2 did a great job of it, they just couldn't sustain it in X3. then again, Ratner isn't known for his deep emotion of character. I was slightly disappointed with the Morlocks. Callisto was ok, but many of them felt neutered. they were powerful enough to basically take down the Xmen in the comics.
  17. hey, no arguing balls and strikes. especially in basketball!

I love her too, but that last set is gross! Jack Valenti ruins any pics he's in! :x
  19. I think the prices would be pretty high for me kissing guys. prohibitively high. but it would be interesting to see which girls would go for Rogue first
  20. so... gay?
  21. careful, I'm not above goaltending

I can tell you from personal experience, most actors are completely insane. I'd say she's pretty far into that, but being an actress, she's able to put on a good face. not that I don't totally love her, because I do
  23. but I've already blasted past 1000, so you'll have to wait for 2K or 1500 or some other number I come up with... in the meantime, I believe there are another 300 threads in which my ass cracks wise, allowing for plenty of sarcasm thrown back in Rhett's face
  24. alright. SS and MLA are clearly comic geeks. which would make three of us. we should stop making one point at a time and do a real deconstruction of the film. who wants to go first?
