Hmmmmm.....if that photo is recent then it seems a lot of the models are going darker in hair colour...maybe for the 'glamour' theme ? Ana, Adriana, Ale....even Heidi and KK though blonde are not platinum platinum blonde like they have been in other years. Even the non-angels are predominantly darker in hair colour too. There are photos of KK on a Cancun beach on splashnewsonline for anyone who wants to take a look. I think she looks just fine and in the photos, she actually looks toned in the arms and legs especially. Since she is so tall, I really don't think that with all the bronzer and the makeup and the outfits she will look that much different than '07 or with a few extra pounds. That's a bit of a relief for me after all this pregnancy and 'poundage' speculation. Last year at the after party she looked sooooo tiny with that silver dress and black belt, so i think VS knows how to tuck and pull when it counts most for the events. Either way, her legs still are so enviably long and shapely! Excited about the events in the next few days! Does anyone know if Bianca Balti went for casting? I think she suits VS really well!

Thanks for the info on Caramel-Osas guys/gals! I think Miranda's gold neck outfit in the above link will turn out amazing on the actual runway with the lights and makeup etc. It looks very dramatic and strong, but the lacey lingerie underneath keeps it feminine. Marisa's outfit is BLECH IMO, it looks cheap and like a halloween costume gone wrong. I wonder if Doutzen's pale pink outfit will have some sort of huge skirt or something over that wire-looking skirt (if that makes any sense...lol). Like it's a skeleton for something or will just remain as is. I don't know why they lightened her hair, she looked stunning as a brunette and this color just washes her out. Oh well...maybe with all the makeup it will look good. Not sure what to think yet of the new Clara model. Wait and see... Emanuela is very pretty, classical beauty like Doutzen and I want to see if she stands out. Either way, better than Selita IMO. Just saw the different themes....if pulled off well, they sound ammmmazing!!! So I guess the PINK segment though despised by a large majority of us on the forums, did turn out to be popular to the general audience. I'm surprised they're keeping it....I think it takes away SO much from the glamour they are going for. Especially when I look at earlier VS show photos and see how stunning and easily each segment flowed. PINK just cuts up the show for me and I'm like "ok this is the little teenager part...time to go get a snack from the fridge". Yes I understand the line is popular, but it just doesn't add anything and seems sort of plopped in to please the teenie-boppers. Go to VSholic and look at the galleries from the older shows....everything is SO seamless and simplicity really lets the LINGERIE and the MODELS stand out. Hopefully the backdrops and final outfits won't make this show seem like a cutesy dupesy circus. Venting over!

Heads up....new photos of KK! Many more on tfs and bellazon (sources) so here's a sample: Personally, I think that dress does not flatter her at all...I usually love her style, but not this time. Her hair needs a brush too! She is looking healthy IMO, I did expect more 'tone' if that makes any sense considering the VSFS tapes in a few days. I sort of miss her recent look on the red Elle cover, but I think I have to come to terms that HF is not her main path anymore : ( Overall, I think she looks great and happy and glowy!!!!

Ok so does ANYONE know if KK has already done her fitting or not? If not, when it will be?....VS insiders? For some reason, i thought after the Brazil fiasco and general people's + and - reactions, the media would be all over finding out how she will look for the show....

Oh my gosh I'm so addicted to the anticipation on this thread! Sorry for the double post tonight. I just took a look at Alessandra's thread and she DOES look great so soon after the baby. (she's not going to have a hard time filling out those bras that's for sure...hahaha) I've never really been that into AA to tell you the truth, but I really am trying to find beautiful things in all the girls because I know that everyone is beautiful in some way (....Marissa I'm trying dear!.....). I know this is thinking wwwwaaaayyy ahead since the 2008 show hasn't happened yet, but I think Alessandra should get to wear the fantasy bra next year. She should have worn it instead of Selita IMO last year. (Selita you've got an amazing smile though!) MissLima I'm with you on the KK curiousity....I think VS is purposely keeping her from us as long as they can (maybe so she can squeeze in a few more gym sessions....eeek!) Adriana I have come to appreciate so much more as beautiful, maybe because I never saw an interview with her and always thought she looked too hot to be nice, but then I youtubed some stuff of her and she is THE sweetest thing. I'm so happy for her that she is finally getting her due and has stayed so humble throughout the years of us all oogling and awing over her! I wonder if Eugenia has been chosen for the show. She added a lot of womanly class IMO. I think Micheala had a certain something about her, as does Tatiana Kovylina and Hana S. I thought Andi had a great figure, but she did sort of fade into the background easily unfortunately. Still feel bad for the girls who don't get invited back though... I was just looking at the lineups on the VSholic forum and 2005 had some amazing girls. It's so interesting to look at the evolution of the models....in earlier years shorter hair and interesting looks were a lot more common than the baby doll and big hair trends we have been seeing recently. Ok question...I understand who the Caramel-Osas trio is but how did that name come to be?!!!! Anyone?

I'm surprised about the video...it's cute, but not glamorous....all these themes and outfits are getting me confused as to the direction VS is going!! And um VS...if you're reading this....only 2 seconds of KK?!!! Only very few of the outfits/models have so far looked good to me in the fittings....e.g. big red bow, Miranda's butterfly wings, Marissa's black outfit...the rest are a HUGE wait-and-see for me because my first impression is not great. I have hope though so no negativity from me (yet?! he he he) It would be great if one year, VS did a bunch of "fake" fittings just to throw us off and then completely surprise us at the show!! (analogy is taping a bunch of different season finales of TV shows to throw off the audience). Unpleasantly surprised Marisa has 3 outfits, she is super toned though I'll give her that! Doutzen I think will be a knockout at the show, but so far not liking the hair much and miss her older look like when she was in that candy segment a few years back; I miss the old fittings photos from older VS shows, the models looked amazing and as if they were having a great time! Oh my gosh, I am most excited (and nervous) for KK's fitting, but also Adriana's and Alessandra's after the baby. Wondering know what the outfits will be for the VS plane arrival...hopefully it will be something a little more interesting than the past years....jeans/knee high boots/leather or shiny jacket. Can you imagine if they come off the plane all decked out in ball gowns and red lipstick ha ha ha....comfy air travel clothes for sure! ; ) Ok that's my 2 cents for now....

Does anyone think that the middle girl in this VSFS 2008 promo photo is KK? Maybe it's the hips that make me think it (source: victoria's secret) I am just soooooo curious about how KK will look this year at the show (and after a turbulent year for her) The taping of the show is approx. 2 weeks away, any news on promo events with the angels or appearances on tv?

Maybe CoutureChic can answer this....but I was watching the VS casting video a few posts back and saw that Candice was being fitted for a fur-like outfit in the beginning. Do any of you think it's real fur?! I HOPE NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glamour is partially about portraying opulence, but not at the expense of stupidity. (I really really hope not, it is totally unnecessary and we're not in the stone age of fashion any longer and the quality and "look" of fake fur nowadays is more than sufficient) (Sorry for the rant.... ) Hmmm...I saw a couple of pastel, pouffy outfits....I'm intrigued how that will fit in.

Interesting idea JoeKnight...can you imagine if VS people actually read this thread to see what the audience/consumer reaction is?! They may even hire you on as design/show consultant........ I REALLY hope that the glam theme is more classical in nature than Miami Vice in nature if you know what I mean. Taking a look at the stage concepts again, I hope they steer away from trying "too hard" for something new/modern and stick with what glamorous means in a womanly sense. (Confusing sorry!) Quick sidenote, but I always thought that maybe with a little bit more weight on her and some subtle highlights, Tiiu Kuik would be a stunning addition to VS. She is so angelic looking in my opinion as she is really really tall from what I've read, has the most immaculate, glowy skin and has a really European/classical look to her. I think she would be great if they ever decided to go back to the white/innocent looking lingerie in older VS shows. Perhaps a little too HF for VS, but they do have Hana, Eugenia and the like who have walked for them. Just a thought! Just a few pics from models.com:

More sexy eds! Thank you! Just read on the VS 2008 tfs forum that KK has been taken OFF the models.com Model Icons List!!!!!!!!!!!!! The audacity of it all..who is ready to start a petition to get her back on?! : ) Don't get me wrong that list has some incredible models on it, but a few can EASILY be replaced by our dear KK. This is getting insane...with her MIA status, her body controversy and uncalled for negative press, her absence in the holiday VS commercial and now this, all I can say is I miss updated news on her so much and I hope these are all just a string of coincidental bad luck. BUT I have faith and hope and her luck will change for the better..... I just know it! On a more positive note, KK will be a part of our holiday season soon guys!

Dear Marisa lovers, There is no need to get touchy. I specifically wrote she "seems to me..." And by the way, I don't know of a time when interviewers of entertainment and media news would create a clip or write a piece where they say a VS angel is NOT nice. It's their job to suck up to get a good interview! I have always thought Marisa has a killer figure and great hair, I just think VS has made MUCH better choices in angels in the past and present! : ) As for the comment Isabeli made about KK, I read it in KK's thread from someone who posted a Portugeuse article: "courtesy of julicalg from KK's thread: Quote: The article below is in Portuguese, but basically says that she believes KK made a mistake doing the show. Isabeli called her unprofessional, and that people in the business will not trust you anymore; also says that she belives that walking on the catwalk looking like that is the beggining of the end..." This is not the place to discuss this, but I just think it's horrible when people badmouth each other in the same business or for the sake of news. KK has been in the business for so long and has been one of the most booked and respected models, VS caught a real gem. She has beautifully evolved throughout all her VS shows and I've never been disappointed. The stage looks incredible....Dec 3 seems like years away!!!!

Sam12 I concur wholeheartedly!!! I just posted on the VS 2008 thread on Bellazon how disappointed I was too. BUT, I did add that this MUST mean she has her own holiday commercial coming out ; ) I miss her too, I bet she's in the gym 24/7 kicking butt for the upcoming November VS show and promos. I have a VERY high intuition that the next time we see her for VS she is going to look RAVISHING and GLOWING! (fingers crossed) Thanks for the ed Chocolate, I usually prefer her HF stuff, but this ed is one of my favs because it shows her looking so naturally gorgeous and really puts the spotlight on her and that curvy figure of hers. Just found this thread....awesome! Interesting to read everyone's different opinions. Here are mine: I agree that this year has to be 180 from last year in terms of outfits, themes and overall design. BUT, SOOOOO many hints it will be super glamorous and beautiful! A couple people mentioned some cool themes! The Fantasy Bra has grown on me actually, I appreciate that they came out with something completely different than previous years and black is soooo classy and glamorous in general as a colour. Someone earlier mentioned hair and makeup and I wonder if they are going to glam out the makeup with red lips and cat eyeliner for a part and maybe straighten the hair. It would be a nice temporary departure from the whole huge bouncy hair look (which don't get me wrong looks great on every model, but sometimes change is good!) So excited for this talk of a 6 storey stage and all the backstage, new website promos leading up to the event. As for music, Usher is an odd choice, but if he chooses his more slower/provocative songs (maybe done with instruments or a choir like in some older shows) then it can come across as glamorous. Definitely NOT Britney, Fergie though IMO! I wonder why they didn't try to get back Kanye after last year's sudden dropout? Rihanna I think would be fitting for a show in the future that is more upbeat in theme... Personally, the less childish models are my choice for the show...the maturity and elegance of the more womanly-looking models always brings such class to the show...i.e. 2003 and 2005! I do like the insertion of some HF gals to up the status of the show. Got to be honest, as long as KAROLINA KURKOVA is there I am happy : ) I'm looking forward to seeing Doutzen's debut as an angel, but am not looking forward to Marisa or Angela. I understand the argument of Marisa's appeal to the audience/consumer, but there's just something about her that I don't like. Maybe it's her personality in VS interviews, but she seems stuck up compared to sweeties like Adriana and Miranda and KK. Other women, besides the angels, like Bianca, Eugenia, Michaela, Hana etc. are who I am excited to see. Can't remember all names right now. Some of those I've never seen before..thanks! I wanted to ask you guys a question...I am looking for these two commercials KK did back in her high fashion days for a European clothing company. I don't remember the name, but the commercial was her in different outfits in a house, on the street, getting out a car etc with music playing in the background. She was playing with a basketball in a dress in one, had on a suit in another clip and had on a baseball cap in another...sorry if this is confusing....I just want a screen cap from a certain part and cant' find the videos on youtube or anything! Does ANYONE know what i'm talking or where I can find these? Also, I checked out the fashionspot VS show 2008 thread and supposedly VS is upping pre-show promotions and appearances with more exclusive videos of preparation, backstage and events. I even read that the VS website will have a new VS show part to it in mid-November! I really really hope that along with Adriana and Doutzen (who are being pushed a lot right now), KK will be a part of every one! I cannot wait to see what they put her in for their "glamour" theme, what they do her hair like, how her body is looking, what she'll be wearing for events..the whole she-bang! (Sidenote...VS makes weird-looking clothes sometimes, even the models look silly in some of them. : S) JoeKnight, sorry no one responded earlier.
