Sorry MissLimaVzla and Michelabella but this this the "All hail KK" thread, not Marisa! : ) In my books, KK is the only blonde from VS who can wear the Santa suit and steal the spotlight (although that doesn't mean I don't like the other blondes during the show...Hana, Caroline, Julia...actually it's funny, because I actually was so disappointed when I heard VS signed Marisa to be a spokesperson/angel, she seems kind of stuck-up and dense during interviews I've seen and the generic California beach girl sun damage, oh the sun damage...not a great role model IMO...sorry for being so harsh! (I can admit that she sells the VS swimsuits quite well though haha)) Back to KK, she's worn the Diamond Bra and the biggest angel wings and the Santa suit for a reason....she's the BEST : ) I am soooo looking forward to the holiday season when she'll be back on the promotion circuit. Thanks for all the new postings everyone!

Thanks for the update voguelover. I am disappointed she wasn't even at NY fashionweek then. Cute couple potential with Wladimir...hopefully their busy schedules will allow them to see eachother so that we can see photos of them on walks and at dinners : ) I couldn't find a HQ photo of the perfume ad, sorry! I like how pretty and wispy her signature is, but the sunshine..a bit too silly for me! ha ha ha Talk to you all soon when we have some new KK photos!

Hi all, I remember KK was supposed to be at the Power Child Gala with that boxer in Munich hosted by Veronica Ferres on Sept 19. Also, that she is to attend Oktoberfest activities right after. I couldn`t find anything.....anyone else

thanks for the new scans everyone! Does anyone know if KK was at any of the New York fashion week shows (watching them) or after-parties? I thought maybe she'd come out to support Proenza as she did in 06', but I haven't noticed anything. Also, anyone know of any upcoming appearances or promotions for VS? The holiday season is fast approaching, as is the show (in November I believe?) so I'm hoping they start putting the angels' faces out there to get some buzz happening. I can't wait for KK to walk the show!

Interesting viewpoint happycanadian. She always seemed like someone who with her high energy personality and ease in interviews and as a spokesmodel to want "The Fame". I know she can't be compared to the 90's greats....it was merely a means of giving examples of what other models have done with their lives. I don't think she'll try to be the next "Heidi Klum" as well, but for some reason I do see her doing something, I just can't put my finger on what. I remember she did that t-shirt design for Colette some years back, but I don't know if design or coming out with a line like Elle is something I see her doing. To be bluntly honest, I don't see her getting much work as a real 'actress' or finding the niche that Rebecca Romijn has. Maybe she has to marry or date some famous actor to commercialize her more, but I wouldn't really like to see that. I definitely, like you, don't want her to fade away as just be a fabulous memory...for awhile, she was on quite a roll with all the VS stuff, the promos on TV shows, the charity events and awards. I don't want to speculate, but maybe VS is pushing Doutzen for a bit now, don't get me wrong Doutzen is ggggorgeussss, but I just hope KK doesn't get put on the backburner cause I adore her! I think we'll just have to wait and be surprised... : ) Well, I personally believe that KK doesn't want "The Fame" as much as we'd all like her too, otherwise she'd be working a LOT more than she is. That being said, I think she's really trying to make a jump into the film world as an actress. She's got the role in G.I. Joe, as well as some sort of upcoming thriller she mentioned recently. She will try her wings (pardon the pun) at those ventures and see how it goes. She isn't nearly famous enough to be compared to Elle, Cindy, Christie or Christy -- these are women who were SO famous that the press still cares about their lives YEARS after they've effectively retired from modeling. Sure, KK has been a Supermodel by the standards of this era, but the times have changed. I believed for a while that she was going to become as huge and well-known as Heidi or Gisele ... but she seems content with the amount of work she does now, and surely with the $$$ she's making. Perhaps she'll kick her promotion skills into high gear for the movie work and will follow a career trajectory more akin to Rebecca Romijn. Either way, she's my favourite and I can't wait to see whatever she does next. I'll still follow her ... though the selfish part of me wants to take over managing her career and make her relevant in High Fashion once again.

Well according to some articles I have read, Wladimir Klitschko invited KK after their Vanity Fair photoshoot to the Power Child Gala of actress Veronica Ferres on September 19 in Munich and for the opening day of Oktoberfest the next day (in some sort of traditional dress). Hopefully we can get photos from those....and I have a good feeling I'll be impressed after this hiatus! So excited to see her again!!!!

So here's a question for everyone until we get some new KK photos..... How do you see KK's career path and reputation evolving in the coming years when compared to past supermodels? In other words, do you foresee her having a life/work path similar to Elle Macpherson, Cindy Crawford, Christie Brinkley, Christy Turlington etc.? These women all vary in the type of charity work, entrepreneurial ventures, family/marriage relationships, film work, publicity and fashion work they do now that they're in their 30's and 40's. Will be interesting to see if KK decides to lay low or venture into other forays!

Joe: Rise of Cobra, starring Dennis Quaid and Sienna Miller, followed by a starring role in the psychological thriller Parasomnia. And yet it’s right here in the Hamptons that this gorgeous, multitalented jet-setter has found respite. Fresh from a whirlwind tour of Paris, where she was filming Victoria’s Secret’s newest holiday commercial, Kurkova relaxed at her Wainscott summer house and opened up to us about the movie business; Supermodel Obsessions (VS’s new lingerie line, launching in late August); and the brand’s new beauty collection, which is slated for a preview this weekend at a private Southampton event featuring readings by astrologist Susan Miller and cuisine by Surf Lodge chef Sam Talbot. HAMPTONS: How did you make the transition from modeling to acting? KAROLINA KURKOVA: I’ve been studying, and people have given me opportunities. I performed theater at school, and that was something I really liked. I love being part of telling beautiful stories and moving people, making them cry, making them think, or making them mad. It’s good to grow and it’s good to challenge yourself. Nothing in life comes easily, and I like working hard for it. When G.I. Joe comes out next year, I will be excited to see what happens. By then, I will be working on another film, a psychological thriller. H: A thriller! Sounds exciting. KK: My character is the lead in Parasomnia, and we will be filming in Romania. I’m trying out a lot of crazy things. I like to be crazy, so I’m sure that’s not going to be too hard for me. We all can be crazy sometimes! H: Will you be able to visit your family? KK: Yeah, they will be so close, so I’m really looking forward to it. My brother was studying English at NYU and then he went back home. Now he’s here this weekend and so is my mother. H: Tell us about Supermodel Obsessions lingerie. KK: It’s absolutely stunning and beautiful—very sophisticated and glamorous and sensual. I really love the fit and the colors. It’s lingerie that’s sexy but comfortable, and has beautiful details like bows and lace. H: Of the three obsessions—Prettiest Pales, Intimate Details, and Boyish Charms—do you have a favorite? KK: Sometimes I love wearing boyish shorts or shirts, but then sometimes I like classic, sophisticated lingerie. It’s hard to choose—it’s like choosing between being three very different women. H: The Victoria’s Secret fashion show is moving to Miami this year. Why is that? KK: We’ve done the show in Los Angeles for two years, and I think Miami is a perfect place— it’s sexy, it’s on the beach, and the show will be in this legendary hotel, the Fontainebleau, where all the movie stars used to stay. Victoria’s Secret doesn’t do anything that isn’t spectacular. And November is a beautiful time in Miami—it’s not too hot, while in New York it’s freezing! H: Tell us about your Wainscott house. KK: I always rent a house here every summer, and friends and family come over. I’m on a horse farm—it’s really beautiful. H: What are your favorite things about the Hamptons? KK: I love that you’re so close to the city, and you can have a beautiful house and hang out with friends or walk on the beach. I love riding my bike to buy the fresh foods from the farmstands. H: What are some of your favorite places to eat in the East End? KK: In East Hampton I like Juicy Naam, a little stand where they make healthy and fresh green juices, fruit juices, and smoothies. I also love the food at Babette’s. I love going to Clam Bar with no shoes after the beach to get some good grilled fish or a hamburger and listen to old music—it’s the best, especially after the sun goes down. The Surf Lodge in Montauk is a great place to go and have a drink, hang out, have brunch, and see friends. And then on Sunday I love going to Pierre’s in Bridgehampton or Sant Ambroeus in Southampton. H: Any little boutiques you like? KK: Yes, Turpan in East Hampton—they have Hermès plates and James Perse T-shirts. They have a bit of everything and cool little finds. I love that place. H: How do you find all those chic outfits you have? KK: I have a very good friend, Nevena, who owns a store in New York and Los Angeles called Curve. She sends me new stuff—she knows what I love, and she knows my wardrobe. H: She’s a bit like a personal shopper? KK: Kind of—but she’s a really close friend and she knows me. Of course, when I’m on vacation in the Hamptons I like walking and finding basic, edgy stuff. I love Preen, Future Classics, Missoni, and Phillip Lim. Nevena has a great selection of young, smaller designers, and I try to buy more eclectic stuff, not the usual designers everyone else wears. H: Do you exercise when you’re at the beach? KK: Yes, I love going to Physique 57 in Bridgehampton and Brett Hoebel’s Saturday Booty Camp classes at ZoneHampton. He’s one of my trainers in New York, but sometimes he comes over to my house with a bunch of friends and we do capoeira on the grass. There are so many things you can do here! I love biking—I take my bike to the beach and then go for a walk. H: What are your favorite beaches? KK: I always go to the Georgica Pond beach and Montauk beach, and I love the beach in Amagansett. It depends on where your friends are and what you want to do… all the beaches are nice if you have good company. H: Good company—like, say, a boyfriend? KK: Oh my god, I have too many. [Laughs] I have too many men in my life.
