  1. Not at all, it's quite alright to vote purely based on looks or any other criteria that you feel makes a model sexy.
  2. Yeah, really just reiterating but ideally, the final results will be a reflection of who had the best 2017. Although there's inevitably going to be some crossover between favourites of the year and favourites of all time, it's very much about "what have you done for me lately".
  3. Probably my favourite film of the year.
  4. Season two starts in March.

Apparently, 1995's Fair Game was meant to launch Cindy Crawford into cinema stardom. I haven't seen the movie from start to finish, but it couldn't have helped much that her co-star was one of the Baldwins.

I enjoyed Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, although in the end it's probably a bit too unwieldy to call a great film. Lily's looks are otherworldly enough to see why she fits the role, but unfortunately her acting wasn't fantastic.
  7. I invited everyone who took part last year. But you'd be more than welcome to make a list.
  8. I'll try not to. The anecdotes and witticisms may be fair-to-middling, possibly even touching on passable.
  9. Honestly, she might make my list based on that last pic alone.
  10. Probably needless to say, the contest is almost always dominated by models, but I'm thinking Gal perhaps takes over from Margot Robbie this year as highest-placed actress.
  11. The good thing is that the lists can be edited as many times as you like until I begin counting the votes at the end of the year, so if at some point you find yourself struck by an urge to rip it up and start again, all will not be lost.
  12. Yes indeed. There'll be 25 points awarded to the woman listed in first place, 20 for second place, 18 for third and so on and so forth.
  13. You probably know the drill by now, but voting in this contest couldn't be easier. Simply name your personal top 20 women of the year in this very thread (in order of preference and in the internationally approved format) while considering just a few trifling matters... ELIGIBILITY Any current model, actress, singer, athlete or celebrity is eligible for nomination, but they must have had a Bellazon thread to call their own before the time of this post, be alive and well (or alive at least) and be of legal age. No voting for anybody previously without a BZ thread, anybody who died before the year began, or anybody who hasn't or won't turn 18 before the year ends, and no placing two different women in the same spot. Any votes not fitting this criteria will, I'm sorry to say, be disregarded. Please also try to vote with greater consideration for favourites of the last year than for favourites of all time. CLOSING DATE Votes will be accepted from now until the end of the year. If you're struck by an urge to edit your list after posting, fear not, but once the aforementioned deadline comes and goes, you won't be able to do so any longer. I'll then begin to count the votes and prepare the final list and pics. We'll award 25, 20, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 points to those listed 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so on. Perhaps needless to say, the woman who amasses the highest points total will be declared the winner. P.S. One additional rule, to qualify for the final Top 100 list each woman will require a minimum number of three seperate votes. This is to avoid having anyone with just one voter reaching the final list. Women with less than three votes will be considered if we desperately need to make up the numbers, but not unless. There’s usually a surprise or two along the way, but for probably the first time I can remember, there's no real 'group of death' scenario in the mix. The draw seems to have created wide open roads for most of the big teams to just cruise into the quarters. On the bright side, the last World Cup started off well and faded towards the end where the majority of knockout rounds were boring as hell. This one looks like it could be the reverse, although until we get there, we might have to power through some poor games.

I'm not usually big on nostalgia of any kind so maybe it's a sign of old age setting in, but I will admit to missing the days when a crazy 4-3 would happen and it wasn't immediately used as an argument for bus-parking being the best way to approach tournament football. Equally, England will probably just be left with Roy Keane to shake his head and pick over the bones of where it all went wrong.

Yeah, it is a bit. I believe these two will be the lowest ranked teams to ever contest an opening World Cup game, although perhaps look for that to change when something like Qatar-Uganda happens in four and a bit years' time. Home advantage can never be underestimated of course, but I'm not convinced that this Russian side will even make it out of the group. If they do scrape into a second place finish, I would expect Spain to dispatch them with relative ease in the first knockout round.

Looking at the overall snapshot of the groups, I must admit to being mildly underwhelmed. With the possible exception of Portugal and Spain, there aren't many combinations there that I could see generating excitement among neutral fans. Although there's always England's inevitable defeat to Panama to look forward to, I guess.

Another imaginative appointment by West Brom there, and Big Sam poised to get the Everton job. I know the country is going backwards, but blimey.
  20. I must confess I don't, but I always think that kind of sound is hard to beat when it's done well.
  21. I'm not that familiar with Lauer but the troubling thing about this story (apart from the obvious) is the "executives believe there will be more" part. Between that and them just immediately getting rid of him instead of putting him on leave, it reads a lot like they were well aware of the situation and didn't act until it became public.
  22. This should be a wild ride. Box office records are going to be shattered on the weekend it comes out. Random thoughts...
  23. And a reminder of just how long I've been here. Luckily, given the undoubted timelessness of Laura's music, the age of the actual thread is much less of an issue.

Home from home for Jordan Pickford. Watching Everton reminds me of Tim Sherwood's Spurs, but without Timbo's tactical nous. Nobody knows the future of course, but having Tony Pulis at the helm is a virtual guarantee of a lower mid-table Premier League finish and all the lovely money that brings. Of course the football is safety-first, but that's not a bad deal and it's hard now to see many managers throwing their hats into the ring for the job. No doubt Sam will be touted, along with Sean Dyche who seems to be linked with every club going, even though nobody actually wants him. Pulis will probably end up at Swansea when they get rid of Clement.
