Theo James is One "Golden Hump" Day Hottie By Jocelyn Vena http://hollywoodcrush.mtv.com Theo James can arrest us anytime he wants. The "Golden Boy" star first caught America’s attention thanks to his pivotal season-one role on "Downton Abbey." Now, he’s keeping us tuning in week after week playing a very hot cop on the small screen. That sounds like enough cred to name him this week’s Hump Day Hottie, don’t you think? Check out this dreamy photo of Theo, and keep reading for more details about him! Vital stats: The English hottie, 28, grew up in Oxford and then went on to study philosophy at the University of Nottingham and trained for his acting career at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Where you might have already seen him: Theo starred in perhaps the greatest “Downton Abbey” episode of them all. You know, the one where he plays the super-hot Turkish diplomat Mr. Pamuk, who deflowers Mary and dies in the process, totally changing her life in every way possible. Yeah, that guy. His other credits include very British parts in other very British projects, including “Bedlam,” “Room at the Top” and “The Inbetweeners Movie.” He’s also taken a stab at playing the undead in “Underworld: Awakening.” Why you should take notice of him now: He’s headlining his very own CBS show, “Golden Boy.” On it, he plays a very motivated young cop with a very long name, Walter William Clark Jr., who goes on to become the youngest police commissioner in New York City, ever. So, how did he prepare for his role? “Just by being in the city and, as clichéd as that sounds, hanging out with the people. New York cops are very specific in terms of the way they talk and the way they handle themselves,” he told the New York Times. "All these cliches that, as an Englishman, I thought were from a bygone era or were a bit of poetic license with cop shows—the more you hang out with them, the more you realize how real that jargon is. Excuse us while we go scouting the streets of the Big Apple for officers that look like Theo to teach us all that, um, jargon.- Theo James
