I love the American Fitness cover, she looks so pretty!
I think she is this Cover Girl model, Tove. (Both ads 1990 I think) I can't find anything else about her but I believe her last name is Richards - not positive, tho'.

This is a useful page, also: http://www.scantips.com/basics06.html Digital imaging is one of those things that you may have to spend some time reading (and re-reading, and re-reading) and experimenting with and being frustrated by.
