  5. Lisa Marten is a former top international fashion model that worked professionally during the 1980s and was represented by top modeling agencies in Europe and Japan. Today she is Representative Lisa Marten of Hawaii ...I guess moving up to being a United States state representative isn't too shabby either! Oh good, she's an environmentalist! A girl after my own heart!! "Lisa grew up in Kailua, graduating from Kailua Intermediate School and Kalaheo High School. Lisaʻs parents instilled a sense of purpose to help others and protect the environment - her mother Ann is a social worker and her father Gerry is an ecologist (both still living and working in Kailua). Lisa wanted to learn how to alleviate poverty and enhance health, which led her to earning a BA from Pitzer College and Waseda University (Tokyo), a Masterʻs in Public Policy at Harvard University, and a Doctorate in Public Health at Columbia University. She worked abroad for many years running a child nutrition program in Guatemala, a youth sexuality education program in Singapore, and working on HIV prevention in South East Asia, among other things. When Lisa had her two sons, she wanted to return home so they could grow up in paradise, as she had. She worked part-time at the John A. Burns School of Medicine UH Mānoa in the Center on HIV while her children were young. Lisa also relished her role as a soccer mom, paddling mom, and getting her sons as hooked on surfing as she is. Lisaʻs husband Jim, an investment professional, has devoted his free time to soccer coaching, serving on several boards, including Hawaii Strategic Development Corporation, Le Jardin Academy and Honolulu Zoo Society." -Excerpt from Lisamarten.com Additional links about Lisa: https://lisamarten.com/ https://ballotpedia.org/Lisa_Marten https://www.facebook.com/lisamartenhawaii/ Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown Nationality: American (Hawaii) Lisa Marten AnAn (Japan) December 19, 1986

  20. Catherine Jenkins Dolly Magazine (Australia) Cover Girl Contest, Catherine was a runner-up (she's in front, on the right)- She didn't win the contest, but she did end up on the cover of Vogue...so there's that.😄 The girl that won the cover is Danella Boyle, purple blouse & auburn hair. 1990
  21. Aussie Catherine Jenkins is a former top international fashion model that graced the cover of Vogue. She got her start as a runner-up in the 1990 Dolly Magazine (Australia) cover contest, and quickly ended up in New York where she was represented by top agency Pauline's. She is splendidly tall, striding the runway at 6'1". They were smart to scoop her up- she looks just like a goddess! "Two People who have turned their height to their advantage are the model Catherine Jenkins, who graces this month's Vogue cover, and the comedian Bruno Polito, who regularly disgraces audiences at Sydney's Comedy Store. But at 185 cm (6ft lin), Catherine's height was not always such an asset."I was 5ft 11in (180 cm) at 16 and hated it," she said. "I was so much taller than everyone and got called lanky and stretch the whole time. And I was really unpopular with the boys - I think they found me threatening."It wasn't until about a year after I left school and went into modelling that I realized my height was an advantage. Now I love it, though it is still a bit of a problem on the catwalk as I'm taller than most other models. May 11, 1991." -Excerpt from Australian Vogue (link below) Additional links about Catherine: https://www.modelscomposites.com/getlist.php?list=wld&choice=Catherine+Jenkins&year=all&id= https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/tall-vs-short-vogue-model-catherine-jenkins-overpowers-news-photo/1079312286 https://www.gettyimages.no/detail/news-photo/two-people-who-have-turned-their-height-to-their-advantage-news-photo/1079028380 Height 6'1" Hair: Blond Eyes: Blue Nationality: Australian From Peter Marlowe Composites:

  23. Alison Moir Dolly Magazine (Australia) Cover Girl Contest, Alison was a runner-up- She didn't win the contest!...but she did become the top international model out of the bunch, makin the money, so...all is well. 😆 The girl that won is Victoria Garden in the very front with the pink hat (who didn't even know her mom entered her in the contest😆). She, Tracy Hook (right above her), and Emma (with the blue bandana) went on to do more modeling in Australia and Japan at least that I've seen. 1985 Here is how your little kitten got discovered @Chirkomania
