Walk out on the street and if you're not in a fashion oriented location not a goddamn person will know who Isabeli or Raquel is. While they may be relatively big in the fashion community what set the quote on quote 90's supermodels apart from the rest of the modeling community is that they were household names.. sorry these girls just don't have it, no way no how. Gemma on that list is the ONLY one who may be known in the 'real' worldand that's simply due to her association with Heath Ledger and the alleged contraversy over his death and that association, and the fact that she's been in 2 movies that haven't done horribly, one of which she was one of the main actors, the other one is horror and the fanatics that follow horror just eat that up, regardless if it's good or not. natasha and isabeli similar? totally not the same, 2 of the most different models. and then you should take some information before talking, because isabeli stopped 2 times for her children, she took years away from fashion for them, and what i said is: she was able to re-enter in fashion even if it's difficult. natasha and raquel never went out, so you probably have a lot of confusion about the models that have to take some rest also, we are not in the '800, so models like angela, isabeli and sasha have children and work = happiness in total And while you may like to say that I should take some information before talking, maybe you should read before snipping back at someone. The similiarity was between their gauntness, and the sad truth is that Isabeli looks even more gaunt that Natasha there. Skinny, scrawny, gangly, underfed, however you want to put it both girls need to eat a dozen or so cookies and a hamburger or twelve, and Isabeli should probably throw in a few donuts as well. As for the time away she may have taken for her children, regardless I look at her and girls like Alessandra as a joke.. You have children, go be a mom instead of some vapid socialite who takes scantily clad pictures and goes out getting drunk.. Yes I saw Isabeli's new beau and her party pics at Carnival. I still love Alessandra, I still like her as a model, however I have no respect for her as a person. I have a daughter, and yes you can still go out and have a good time, there's a line, and there's a limit. Especially with Alessandra. Another couple models who have children.. Josie, (has a huge company, is still relatively main stream and is still at home with her child) and look at Frankie Rayder, who is married to one of the more famous rock guitarist (flea from the red hot chilli peppers) and you don't see them out all the time partying, or even working all the time). In my opinion when you have a child, you kinda need to take time off... almost permamently, your child comes before your career. Do part time modeling, you can still do that.. but Isabeli is going crazy... she's doing show after show.. I'm sorry her children should come first. And regardless about those girls who took time off and who didn't Joe already clarified, we're supposed to look at these girls and compare each of them from the height of their career... Gemma Gemma Natasha I dislike Natasha immensely, however I will admit that she is a presence on the runway. Not necessarily my personal favorite, but among this list she is probably the best in my opinion. They look very similiar to me.. actually Isabeli's face looks quite a bit more sunken, more gaunt. I like the woman, but she needs to keep some weight on her. As for the other models who seem to have quote on quote disapeared, it's called taking a personal hiatus. Gemma went through something personal and her wanting to take some time off is not unheard of, it's actually somewhat admirable. Looking back on her body of work you have to take a step back and stare. She nails advertisements and editorials, and while she's not that strong on the runway the rest of her work does not leave you disappointed. I think my biggest issue with Isabeli is that she never seems to take time off. Francy you yourself pointed out she has 2 children.. well if she's always working how can she possibly devote the time and attention they deserve, especially at that young of an age. Also, she seems to be working herself entirely to hard, it's time to sit back, take a deep breath and eat a cookie or five, she needs to put more weight on. She's turning into one of the thinspiration set, and well... my opinion is exceptionally low when it comes to those girls as I've seen what they do to young impressionable teenage girls.
