I believe that art exhibition was Daul's very own debut exhibition in Korea- she was a painter. I havn't seen much of her work but they provide a huge insight into her mind. They are quite raw images that actually depict her depression- a couple i saw portrayed herself stabbing herself in the head with a fork No doubt they will fetch huge amounts now anyway im sad to say that when i look on my "models" file i did not save many candids of Daul at all even though she was a favourite. i guess i took it for granted that all her memories would always be preserved on cyberspace but this pic that i have struck me because it is so beautiful.. she looks like Emily the Strange. It is Daul at 16 (or 17 i cant remember) and the caption underdeath was: "i was very lonely" i also watched all the videos she shot on her youtube which were very artistic and surreal. One of them had the title "(i have been crying for 17 years)" nobody can say exactly how she felt..but i think when you are depressed or lonely for a long time you obecome trapped in a world seperate from your own or the world of others.. eventually you just need to leave somehow i didnt know her but i was a fan and read her blog all the time. and now i cant stop thinking about her rest in peace

i saw her walking recently i think it needs work because she holds herself really awkwardly like: "i just woke up with a hangover- i am very sore and am heading towards the nearest bathroom" im sure it will be perfect in time though- Hye Park was rejected from her first agency because of her walk but now she is known for an impeccable walk

Thank you Reeyo that is definitely one of my favourite editorials from Du Juan ever..! Bailey finally did something different on Du and it is draw dropping But i hate. hate. hate. that cover... Du's face- exquisite as usual- but why did they style her with frizzy hair, weird light and that raggedy top?? They make her look like some crazy cat lady peering up from some dark alley. i hope to see more work like this with Du

i'm glad Reeyo i think this is how people should remember her- so lovely and intelligent and her blog was so raw and unapologetic so i couldnt help feeling sort of close to her -and many other readers seem to feel that way too i started my own blog- i havnt posted anything in it yet- but its dedicated to her memory i read that her french boyfriend found her- i believe they were living together in their apartment in Paris RUSSH i was so excited to see her face at my supermarket last week! ive never seen an asian person on the cover of any Australian publication before and i immediately took it off the shelf

why why why? What went wrong? I believe she was clinically depressed for a long time- now if we look back on her blog and interviews, the warning signs were a bit obvious in 2007 she posted a pic of herself and a hammer saying that she was tired of being Daul Kim and that she was going to smash her face in and die but a couple minutes later she edited it saying she was joking and she was just tired (tired is such a common excuse) On another occasion she said that she is a piece of dumb rotting meat and everyone who tries to help her are nice but dont realise they too are bits of rotting meat. She said that she wanted to "burn the rotting meat" but it's family would be upset. I thought it was just rambling so i didnt take it seriously but she was basically saying that she wanted to kill herself but didnt want to upset her family. i also remember in her first interview/editorial for i-D she said how she never fit in in Korea or Malaysia and she was quite lonely OH DAUL i wish i could have helped you or given you a hug

^ikr when i read her blog sometimes she seemed a bit dark in some posts but who knew it was so bad? Her career was going so well- i only bought her RUSSH cover last week and in her interview she had said she wanted happiness and "i am miserable so i reward myself with a fur coat". i actually laughed at that lets wait for more news because maybe it was an accident. She once said on her blog "im not depressed and i dont want to kill myself" Anyway.. here are some vids of her -- R.I.P also Daul is one of the top 30 most searched names on Google today...

I will miss frequenting her blog for posts like this and seeing her sublime face in editorials and shows How fragile life is
