General Discussion
track agree. and and its such a shame that certain high fashion snobs still never give her proper credit (or any "sexy" model for that matter) . I dont care if one thinks shes ugly, hates her body, hates her personality, her modeling skills etc etc. BUT when they criticize her career too, its laughable. that link you posted gustavo proves how versatile she can be. she looks different in every pic. (well especially pre 2005). She is definitely a Vogue UK and US icon out of the 4 big Vogue's.

Editorials
oh wow thought it was a (gorgeous) fanart when I saw it. have no idea, thanks for the links. Its actually a British Vogue pic of her from 2002 (by Corrine Day)

Models/Celebrities who *may* have had Plastic Surgery
Not disputing but that Gisele picture is so funny and inaccurate as the befores are afters and the afters are befores. The "03" shots are from the late 90s and the "99" shots are in the 00's.

that is one of my all time favorite portraits of her by Irving Penn I'm always happy she got to shoot with some of the great iconic photoraphers before they passed away. Herb Ritts (my favorite) and Penn. Too bad she never got to shoot with Richard Avedon or Francesco Scavullo.

interesting sick! ^ Harper's Bazaar February 2002 photoshoot labels it as Gisele's house. Maybe Leo just did a shoot there from time to time? Ive no idea when she moved out of it.

I saw that the other day listed on her wikipedia page ^. Also it says she was nominated in 2004 for a Teen Choice award, had no idea. Gisele's home in Costa Rica (personally like this one better than the LA one, it looks soo private) sorry for repost. Gisele's old house in LA (during the Leo era ) lovevsmodels.com

oh yes totally forgot about that! ^ well then one more thing to look forward to. I hope more chanel ads show and hopefully a beautiful video. Dont get me wrong she looks beautiful but theyre quite simple. I was expecting something extravagant in some beautiful Parisian hotel, based on the tweets I read. (something exquisite like her Bazaar editorial by Karl I guess I had in my mind, lol) She flew to Paris for two days, hopefully we get more! Although for beauty ads I guess they prefer the focus to be on the model and not the scenery. most of all I am just happy my fave model finally has a campaign for my fave brand. for that I love it.

Supermodels
Naomi Campbell Wants the Magazine Covers Back The famed supermodel has signed on to find the next great beauty on Oxygen's 'The Face.' Singers, performers, and actresses should watch out: Models want their magazine covers back. It was 1998 when Time magazine declared the end of the Supermodel era. Over the last decade, actors, musicians and others celebrities have taken over the magazine stands. But, one of the most iconic members of the 80s and early-90s supermodels, Naomi Campbell, says it’s time to change that. “Of course, we want the magazine covers back. Of course, we do,” Campbell told Celebuzz. “There are less covers for the girls out there who are the new, young, trendy girls. She’s got more to compete with and there are only a certain amount of covers they’re going to give a model a year. Before, you had models twelve months a year.” Campbell wants upcoming models to reclaim the print modeling industry, rather than just be a face on the fashion runway. “When I started modeling, there was a separation of girls that did shows and girls that did print. And my generation did both. That’s when it changed,” she says of how she and others like Christie Turlington, Kate Moss and Cindy Crawford changed the fashion world. With 26 years of experience, she is now the executive producer for Oxygen’s new reality competition show, The Face. The competition features up and coming female models who are all trying to be the next face and spokesperson for a nationally recognized brand. Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha will join Campbell as mentors on the show with former America’s Next Top Model judge, Nigel Barker, hosting.
