Calvin Klein first announced in May that Christy Turlington Burns would star in the brand's underwear campaign, and the sultry images have just debuted. Mario Sorrenti photographed the iconic model in Vieques, Puerto Rico, for a minimalist approach captured in black and white. The spread adds to Turlington Burns' longtime relationship with Calvin Klein, which started in 1988 with her Irving Penn-lensed Collection campaign and continued with the brand's jeans and fragrance advertisements. While on the set of her shoot, the supermodel sat down for an interview on her return to Calvin Klein, below. What is most exciting to you about shooting the Calvin Klein Underwear fall 2013 advertising campaign? I guess the most exciting thing about shooting this campaign is just to be in such a beautiful place with such great people and working on such an amazing campaign. After so many years, it’s nice to be back in the Calvin Klein world. What was your most memorable campaign shoot for Calvin Klein? The most memorable campaign I shot for Calvin Klein was probably either an Eternity fragrance campaign, which I did also in 1988, or a Steven Meisel underwear campaign that I did in the mid to late '90s. There are so many, though. They are still some of the images that I like most out of all the images from my career, so I’m quite proud of them. This is the first time you are shooting a Calvin Klein advertising campaign with photographer Mario Sorrenti. What was it like shooting with him? Today was great shooting with Mario Sorrenti. We have worked together before but never for Calvin Klein, and both of us have had a long history with this brand, so it’s kind of nice to have a first time experience with him and Calvin Klein. How would you sum up Calvin Klein Underwear in just one word or one phrase? I would say as a phrase that Calvin Klein Underwear is both sexy and classic. I would think so too, but then there's the derek blasberg on set with terry that makes me think otherwise. He works for US Bazaar and V magazine, I guess it could be either of those. I don't think he has anything to do with the Brazilian edition. Then a few days later Derek tweeted about how nice Gisele was, which may not mean anything but it just seems like they recently worked together. Gisele, Terry, Derek all on set in LA at the same time, (photo of Gisele and terry deleted) it just has to be related.

Thats from W magazine 2001 or 2002 (I think) It's funny she has over 20 Cosmopolitan covers, yet has never done a cosmo shoot(save for when she was a teen model), they're all all reprints from Bazaar,Vogue,W. Where is bellure? I miss her Brazilian scans.

She was never in the fashion industry though. Shes overstating her status wayy too much is the funniest part. She acts like she was Linda Evangelista or something.

Can't agree more ^ No one on earth would buy her book, if it weren't for her name dropping a far more successful name in the process. The girl was never successful pre,during nor after VS. She wasnt heard of in a couple years. Seems she tried at modeling ( with her very God like Maxim shoot), and it wasnt working out, so she caught another scheme for her 15 mins. her supporters are crazy ladies who were going on other supermodels facebook pages condemning them for not quitting modeling and valuing their bodies like "supermodel kylie" has/does.

(I dont want to give false info but doubt she was in new york just to have dinner with them, Edward Enneniful and Giovanni Bianco ) I wish she would do a bikini brand in Brazil. She will shoot Colcci campaign in October. Shes the only female star of course. Her male companion has not been chosen yet. Honestly there are so many other Brazilian brands I wish she would try out instead of going back. I guess they pay her well.
