This is from the Forbes 2007 list: Top models like those on our list still bank millions, but only once a multiyear contract is secured. The days of $10,000 runway fees are over. Top models don’t even do runway. It’s considered an internship process for the hundreds of anonymous 15- and 16-year-old foreign girls who swarm the runways of New York, Paris and Milan each season. They do 70 shows in six weeks and are paid about $250 an hour their first season. A good hardworking model can make $200,000 a season. Good. That would have been as awkward as inviting Hanson to walk alongside Stephanie and Helena in the 90s. Well maybe not since so many VS models look like teeny boppers these days.

Yeah her accident probably played a role, but in this 2012 interview she hints that she thinks her tats kept her from being booked and wants them removed. (And I remember her being excited tweeting about being signed to a new agency and even going on "go sees" in NYC. Which shocked me that Niki has to do go sees like a new model does. Thats a good point about the teen idol thing justwastingtime. Shes one of my favorite models of all time so I get sad not seeing her more,thats all. I read somewhere recently that she said, her tattoos kept her from booking modeling jobs, is it true? I mean Linda, Cindy, Christy, Stephanie, Kate etc all work still and niki fell off the radar. ive even seen people ask who she was, which makes me feel so old and depressed considering how huge she was.

Love the name dropping the supers do of all these legendary moments in their careers. Now the so called "supermodels" talk about nothing but lingerie modeling. These women are truly super, and only worked with the best (and still do!). Their careers just fascinate me. Interesting how their dream job was to shoot for vogue or work with a legendary photographers. Models are so lazy today, all they care about is money jobs and attending events. There will never be another Linda Evangelista.

Youre welcome! Yeah I dont know why people act like its some exciting never before heard news, every year they act like its something new, haha. Also I believe shes Forbes richest model since 2004, not 2007. 2007 was just the first year they made a separate model list, since models were no longer making their celebrity 100 list.

Celeb trainer Tracy Anderson talks about Giseles butt I started to get good at what kinds of movements worked. Now I work on making people their most proportioned self, but at the time I was told that I had to pick one ideal body for everyone to look like. I started with women, asking myself, ‘Can I take any woman from any genetic background and turn them into one thing?’ I had to think: whose butt do I think everybody wants? And before Gisele was even a household name, I cut her butt out of a Victoria’s Secret catalogue, and I was like, ‘I think every woman wants that butt.’ And then I went through magazines and things, trying to find examples for the rest of the body, thinking, 'These arms look too bulky. These arms look too scrawny and lifeless. I feel like women want this leg, women don’t really want a six pack on their abs, but they want their stomachs to curve in and then curve out.’ I literally had to work out what I thought every woman wanted. One of the older articles stated they contact agencies/managers. Probably why Ed, and this year Ivan Bart are always quoted. Kate has had a whirlwind year but it seems more editorial/publicity wise. SHe doesnt have a huge beauty/lingerie contract. David Yurman may count for next year. And with alessandra, she wasnt even offered the mega Colcci contract, Ashton Kutcher was according to Brazilian press. It seems shes always second fiddle.

Yeah these brands that may seem laughable or not prestigious are often pretty lucrative probably the only reason why the celeb/model does it in the first place. Remember linda freaking evangelista and cindy crawford did a pizza hut commercial in their hey day.

The most weird part is kate m..just this month Britishvogue reported she made $19 million this past year...wth. Doutzen has many deals but maybe theyre not multi million $ contracts like some of the others have, more quantity than quality? But still with VS, Loreal contracts I'm quite surprised.
