Not sure, but something dramatic had to happen to her. After all, she is pregnant with her first child. She had to take some type of hiatus. I remember when Jesse L. Martin's character got shot on the regular "Law & Order" last year. I believe he went on hiatus in order to appear in the movie "Rent". ahhh so THATS what that was about i was thinking the same thing...it'd be something that lands her in the hospital long-term, so she can go on maternity leave or whatever. *sniff* i already miss her
