I miss Jessica in SI! Such a beautiful girl! Bridget definitely has some of her exotic charm. Wasn't Chase the girl who tripped at auditions this year and basically ate it in front of Ed, Sophia, and Monica? I doubt she'd come back, seeing how she booked SI like the day after she got rejected from VS.

I've been studying for exams all week, so I completely missed this. All of these new campaigns have me thinking about so much! Taylor and Romee have definitely improved! Romee still can work on her serious shoots, just as Taylor can improve her walk, but both are bonafide bombshells, as seen in the new visuals. Josephine, Lais, and Jasmine () continue to impress me, but Elsa is on fire! I hope to see more Sara. She is crazy talented and could be running the show if she was given the opportunity to. In contrast, Stella is doing fine, but needs to up her game if she wants to continue to work alongside the other girls. Martha's work has been meek lately and I wouldn't mind if she left. Overall, the New Angels really seem to have found themselves as models. The only issue with the brand is how Adriana, Lily, and Candice don't get the chance to mix with the girls, so it doesn't seem like a cohesive continuation of the brand of the past to the brand of today. I love how VS is working with so many girls this year (Robin, Kelly, Ming, Cindy, Vanessa, Alexina, Georgia, Roos, and now Danielle, plus Bridget and Lotta for PINK!) I expect there to be some line-up changes soon, seeing all of the potential that seems to be festering at the brand. Reminds me of the beginning of the 2010s, when hella girls would shoot for the brand. Can't wait to see the shoot of all these newbies! Maggie Laine needs to go...

Perhaps the models didn't feel comfortable expressing their disapproval towards shooting with him because they feared that speaking out could be detrimental to their careers. If I recall correctly, Bellemere seemed to begin working around the time most of the current line-up had barely secured Angel contracts. Even if both were new to the brand, if a photographer labeled a girl as difficult to work with (i.e. what we presume about what happened with Barbara), their career could take a drastic turn for the worse. The position invokes a power dynamic and dismissing the opportunity of superiority that it creates only enables the issue. The behavior most likely wasn't recognized as harassment, hence why they continued to work with him for years. Arguing that VS always looks out for the girls, although I wish to view it as optimistically, is a fairly generalized and slightly false statement. VS clearly didn't give a fuck when they basically forced Erin into developing an eating disorder. I imagine they work hard to ensure photoshoots are handled appropriately, but, as I have stated previously, I don't believe Ed had no prior knowledge and actually went out of his way to prevent these situations from happening. Thank you for sharing your story! Your bravery is inspiring, to say the least. The fact that you are lending your voice to this cause is powerful!

These girls all have an immense amount of talent and it is admirable for them to pursue work at such an early age. However, I agree with you that, despite the legality, the models are still too young to properly manage a career and advocate for themselves within the industry. These girls often give up high school and college educations to pursue their dreams, which leaves them vulnerable when men in powerful positions like Bellemere, Kadel, Richardson, Testino, and Weber. It is unfortunate to the rumors surrounding both Barbara and Taylor presenting a pattern of years worth of abuse.

Such a disgustingly toxic cycle, but it makes sense with the randomness surrounding Barbara's exit. I feel like this was entirely Barbara's decision to leave, rather than VS, which is how it has been advertised. Barbara was on top of the world and, for things to crash in her life away from the cameras, I would not be surprised that she decided to make such a drastic business move to leave. It would explain why VS still used her image for the Christmas catalog. Likewise! Preach! I'm holding Ed to the same standard and refuse to believe otherwise until he actually speaks out about the issue.
