^I'd completely forgotten that I'd started this thread! So - many thanks for these new posts Emilia, and (albeit inadvertently) reminding me of her... Interesting that she appears to have a different name now then (Noa), but it did - in turn - lead me to something new and wonderful to post too (careful kids, slight nudity):

I havent been able to reproduce, so on the front page you click "View New Content" at the top and it highlights "Members" on the left hand side by default? ^Even when I "manually" highlight 'Forums' (and leave it ticked) it seems to be random as to what it will go to - and 'Members' seems to be the default the majority of the time! It even did 'Calendar' a couple of times.When I come back on though, you don't have the choice to tick anything on the homepage. Obviously, as I imagine is the case for most if not all members, I just want to see new posts when I come back on - not who may have joined in my absence... As I don't want to appear singularly negative though, I have to say the new multi-upload function for the attachments is great! Makes it much quicker and easier.

Ugh. Is there any way to stop this 'View New Content' feature taking me to 'Members' instead of the far more logical 'Forum'? I'm not sure why this has been added in the upgrade, as it would seem an incredibly niche need to know who might have joined BZ in the hours I've been away! It seems a bit random at the moment - I reckon it takes me to 'Members' 75% of the time...

I received two PMs overnight - yet I can only reply to one of them! I can report the other one, but that would seem a little extreme as it was completely inoffensive! Also, I still get a list of new members whenever I click on 'View New Content' - despite ticking 'Forums' (as opposed to 'Members') every time? I hope all this doesn't come off as negative? As a Mac user it feels like I'm on a PC, or driving a car on the left. Familiar, yet jarring and awkward. But if I don't ask the questions then I won't learn will I?!

^I still can't get my old one back on - it's 150x150 and 1.7MB (courtesy of donbot). :| ^Thumbnail attachments are taking FOREVER for me. It takes aaages to load up - and then you have to save it and it takes aaages again!

The new software automatically parses media files and embeds them.
