I don't know what this means. This is the only Arena photo of Marisa's that I know of: And that's pretty far from her Surfing editorial. I'd assume you meant the August GQ shoot, but that's pretty different.

That's what I'm afraid of. But it's a shame no official advertising has come out from Vans. They already have the shots to use from the "Surfing" editorial and used one in the Fred Segal store launch. Speaking of that launch, I would love to get one of those life-size cutouts of her that they had.

Yes, happy b-day to her! Not many models even have careers into their 30s, but Marisa's is only getting bigger and bigger.

The photo shoot Mario Testino "discovered" Marisa for was this beach-theme editorial (Good Vibrations) for U.S. Vogue, which also stared KK. Testino shot Marisa for Italian Vogue, too, but pics are hard to come by since no one was paying MM attention so early on. I don't know if the Good Vibrations shoot was ever posted here, but here it is: From the fact that I got it from an MM site, and from the profile and the boobs, I have no doubt that it's Marisa.

I guess I'm the one most likely to know this or not, but: wasn't Jerica one of the models that participated in the first stop of Marisa's Swim 2008 tour in VS's Herald Square store? I remember some people on the blogs called her a Marisa clone, which is what made me realize this connection. I'd post a pic, but I didn't save any of them, and the pics in Marisa's thread have been wiped out by the demise of Imageshadow. Anywho... I really don't get Emanuela. Lighten her skin and she's just another bland Brazilian model. I mean, if VS is going to bump a black model up in the modeling heirarchy (wait, she is black, isn't she?), then I don't see why they would get a girl who embodies such a Caucasian, lackluster idea of black beauty.

Well, if the rumor is true that she shot this commercial, it doesn't necessarily mean anything, as previous Xmas commercials have had non-Angels. Plus, throwing Emanuela in as well will become Angel-overkill unless there are some firings , so I further doubt they'll have the Angel tag any time soon (and I don't see why VS would want them anyway).
