I think we're forgetting one thing in all this discussion: that - from Marilyn Monroe to Pamela Anderson - the world always wants to see busty blondes.

Let's at least wait for the show to air before we start praising her, shall we? <_<

By turning an SI cover and a VS Angel contract into super-stardom, then turning that into further super-stardom with Project Runway (at a time when actresses were taking over) to remain such a dominant and business-savvy force in the fashion world (with un-ending endorsements and her own lines) that she can be in her 30s and still command so much public attention that the Angels are a bunch of nobodies in comparison.

Because I like mildly antagonizing Heidi-haters (especially the Lima-loving variety who like to claim Lima gets the most applause), here is an article on the VSFS that says: This is why she gets so much attention.

^ You seem to be confusing publicity with popularity there, Sam, and it's certainly not the same thing, especially when - as you said - that publicity is of the worse kind and it took three years just to get it. As for the E! list, I'll wait to be impressed until KK starts ranking high on the high-number lists the public gets to vote on (Askmen, Maxim, FHM), because she's only gotten on one at all, and I seem to remember Marisa being #1 on it. As for anyone's problem with MM as an Angel, I have no issue with it; I'm just glad she finally got the contract and I couldn't care less about all this petty talk of who is or should be #1 when there is no #1 among the Angels. This supposed hierarchy is something fans have imposed on the line-up and it's just silly to even bother with such inventions. As for Candice and Emanuella... who and who? When (and if) they become successful enough to even warrant talk of Angel status, I'll give them some thought beyond thinking Candace does have potential. But yes, five Angels is the ideal number.

Except that she's been just as much of a dud popularity-wise as Izabel and Selita. I mean, what's the point in signing models with no American appeal and can't keep their figure? Same with Doutzen. VS just needs to bite the bullet and reduce the Angels to the group most proven with the public: Heidi, Adri, Ale, Marisa, and Miranda (and maybe Selita if you want to keep a black Angel). It's the most logical decision.

Avada from FMT capped a few vids off the VS site, but because two out of the three have been capped before (although in lower quality) and posted here, you all only get this one. According to a user at Celebutopia, the December issue of Maxim (with the new Bond girl on the cover) comes with a 2009 calendar that includes Marisa. The Maxim website says nothing about this, but if it's true, I hope they've used one of the unseen pics from her cover shoot! If anyone happens to see the issue, let us know - neither store I dropped by carries Maxim.
