  1. A bump courtesy of Marisa's blog...
  2. Rather than write an entire book replying to your post, Joe, I'll just comment on this... I don't totally belittle a regard for personality. I only belittle the idea that someone would come to a forum dedicated to a profession based on people looking good in order to mainly appreciate personalities, just as I would belittle someone who goes to a party full of millionaires and says they're only looking for love.
  3. I think it's safe to say the real correlation is business savvy. Media/business empires aren't awarded to the likes of Heidi, Tyra, etc. because they have the nicest personalities (and whether they even do is in dispute). Models earn them by marketing themselves right, making the right business decisions, being persuasive in the meeting room, and surrounding themselves with the best people in order succeed. And I'll admit all these "personality is so important" comments kind of amuse me. Few of us know these models personally and personalities can be faked for the public's benefit. (See: Megan Fox.)
  4. Here's the full editorial from the Esquire issue: thanks to CartelZoe
  5. For some it's a joke, for Dick Cheney it's a typical weekend.
  6. ^ Sorry, Brock, but one of the reasons I like being a Marisa fan is that we're not the type who would bother to vote over and over. Let the Candice fans do it. :morning:
  7. ^ They photoshopped her navel off.
  8. ^ Thanks, Pink!
  9. ^ If VS is using Monica Mitro to pitch their products, does this mean she's an Angel now too? Don't confuse speculation-as-fact with actual fact. I think Gisele is the only one we really know why she left.
  10. I agree that Ale could gain some weight, but as for the other two... Brooklyn has always had a really thick torso (even as curvy models go) and that middle one has no business being there. When I first saw the photo, I assumed she must have been a fan posing with the Ale and Brooklyn because she is lightyears from being model material. Oh, and did that woman use Gisele as an example of the curvy model along with Tyra?

I guess if either of you read Playboy, it's just for the articles, right?

Every time you pass over one model's thread to instead view another's is that very judgment. Same goes with choosing one model over another in an avatar/signature... unless you choosing to use Miranda (in a bikini ) has nothing to do with your opinion of her physical attractiveness.

I thought that's what the entire point of this forum is for.
  14. Such amazing cleavage! Thanks for the vid, Pink!
  15. ^ Yes, the cover/editorial is right here.
  16. If the point in having so many Angels is to phase one group in as the old group goes out, having this many Angels makes complete sense to me.
  17. ^ Thanks, Pink! It's always nice to see when the media pays attention to even a normal editorial of hers.

    ^ What Reebok thing?
  19. CartelZoe is always posting magazine scans of these who-wore-it-better things and the editors say it's Marisa every time.
  20. And here is the full editorial... Vegas Magazine, March 2010
  21. Another one from the previous editorial: Here's some info on Marisa's diet: OK__Magazine__What_I_Ate_Today.pdf OK__Magazine__What_I_Ate_Today.pdf

This offseason isn't a good one to be an aging franchise running back. :| God, I'm already sick of hearing about Tim Tebow.
  23. Love that second one! thanks to CartelZoe @ FMT
  24. Ale: I was one of the first major posters on her official forum (who else remembers the green vs. red bar member rating system? ) but after several months I guess Ale got more popular and the forum was taken over by obnoxious fans who all seemed really young... and not cool. There was also the fact that when Ale did show up, she looked at pics of herself then just left most of the time. It's like she was more interested in having a fansite/forum than actually having fans, which kind of pushed me away. Adri: Unlike what a lot of Lima fans might guess, I think she's stunning... pre-2005. Throw in what her fans are like, which I hope I don't even need to go into, and that's an easy one. Miranda: She has a very unique look that I can appreciate, but after a pair of interviews during which sighed a couple times and generally looked bored, I was left thinking, "If she doesn't care about what she's doing, why should I?" Bar: I'm all about national pride. She's not, apparently. Throw in several tasteless comments and... yeah. Emily D.: I guess I never really made it to the fan level, but I was getting there. After so many Facebook candids being posted though, it's hard to see her as anything other than the average NY/NJ girl I saw a thousand of in college. In fact, excessive Facebook/MySpace candids have killed my interest in several relatively unknown models.
  25. Judging based on SI using unimpressive photos for the covers the last few years, that picture possibly making a great cover is exactly why they wouldn't use it. Well, it is her first language.
