^ The impression I've always had is the exact opposite: people find her annoying because what she says comes across as so contrived.

Let's not go overboard here. Megan obviously knows how to grab headlines with her comments (although, so does Heidi Montag) but when the result of the things she says and the media saturation that comes afterwards is a very polarized public opinion of her, a box office flop for her first staring role, and getting ousted from the billion-dollar franchise that made her famous, it's a little hard to label her self-marketing as "genius." I'd say it's more along the lines of effective but haphazard.

Well, the Chelsea interview wasn't nearly as painful to watch as the last one, but it's a shame Marisa didn't come out in her usual minidress.
